My colleagues and I had the pleasure of dining at Sir Manong for lunch. I have to say I am happy with the whole experience. From booking our table to the food and the service was great. I can't fault anything. Even the location is great. So easy to get to, find and get parking. The food was tasty, and the serving was family size. It is definitely good value. If you would like to try Filipino food this is a great place to go to! We ordered crispy pata, it was massive and very crispy. I enjoyed the taste dipping it in the soy vinegar garlic sauce it was serve with, the kaldereta, I liked it a lot, the braised beef was tender and there was a lot of it, the kalderata sauce was thick and creamy which I like, similar consistency to pumpkin soup, pancit Canton which again was massive, it was a combination of meat, seafood and veg and again we found it tasty, the roast chicken with regular basting and that was so juicy with the basting was lovely. I took some home in doggy bag to hubby and he smashed it saying it was really good. A sign we will definitely visit and come again. The only thing I wasn't much a fan of was the tortang talong, I think it would be best to have the Mayo and tomato sauce on the side rather than spread on top. Whilst the torta itself was good for me the spread of sauce on top was too overpowering that I did not enjoy the hero eggplant torta. If you get the torta and not a fan of sauces like me, ask for it to come as a side. I also like their sustainable packaging, take away container. I love their logo and the ambiance. The chefs and owners have done an amazing job and should feel proud they are serving favourite Filipino dishes which can compete with the other popular Asian countries. The staff are kind and friendly and they made us feel so welcome. I can't wait to come again and visit. Drop in next door to the chocolate room to finish, which we did and I was pleased to find out they serve halo halo. So I had a mocha and a halo halo after, whilst my friend had the Oreo Belgian waffle and again everything here was perfect a great way to cap our lunch.

This restaurant has so much potential yet the management’s lack of experience and leadership is driving it down to the bottom. Upon arrival around 5:15 pm at the front - It’s disappointing that we had to wait at the front for over 10 mins without anyone acknowledging us despite us waving to them and after being acknowledged we were offered to sit at the high chair despite the fact that the guy can clearly see that I am pregnant with my big belly popping out lol. (Basic Customer Service knowledge 0/10) After ordering - I had to ask for a glass of ice from 2-3 people because at this point we’ve been waiting for a GLASS OF ICE for 15 mins! After the guy gave the glass of ice we were questioned why we have so many cutlery (like seriously, is this your main concern right now?) again, basic customer service knowledge 0/10. After over 35 mins of waiting one of the waitress just realised they haven’t given us our glass of ice mind you I asked for it while ordering 😂 when the glass of ice arrived they just put it on our table with attitude even tho we told them we have already been given the glass of ice. We also had to follow up for our food that we ordered because it’s been over 35 mins just for 2 dishes to get to us and when it finally arrived it was COLD as if it was left sitting there. Again, customer service 0/10 Attention to detail : 0/10 Food: 1/10 - it would be good if it was hot If you’re paying around $70 you expect your food to be at least edible and hot! Such a shame that this place isn’t acknowledging the lack of basic skills and knowledge of the staffs & management.

Great service, really really nice location & atmosphere and the food was delicious! I’m kinda biased towards homemade filipino food and have found most filo restaurants I’ve been to to be overpriced and fairly (for lack of a better word) ‘boring’ with their menu but Sir Manong really delivered on presentation (dishes looked great), serving size (really surprised at how not small the small canton was), value for money (really well priced ) and most importantly taste . We ordered Spicy Chicken Inasal with atchara, Bagnet with tomato salsa, a small Canton, a pitcher of kalamansi juice and a takeaway order of Pork Belly Adobo. Inasal was great (perfect amount of spice blended in well with the sweet & sour of the atchara), Bagnet was crispy and went well with the tomato salsa, my wife and I both loved the canton (of which the noodles must have been homemade or something cos they were just *chef’s kiss*) and the Kalamansi Juice, which was so good and just perfect for the weather. Suffice it to say, we left full and very happy with the experience and will definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu Also, on a sidenote, Sir Manong is located in this shopping centre just off the Great Western Highway near the iconic Blacktown sign. I’m guessing everyones known about this place for ages now and Ive only since catched up - but if you’ve never been here you owe it to yourself to go because it’s a legit food trip.

📍Sir Manong, Eastern Creek Quarter Can we talk about the fusion of modern and classical Filipino dishes, with the interior of the restaurant being super authentic with the names of different locations in the Philippines. 🅿️ for anyone wanting to drive in parking is free as its part of the mall. It was so busy when we arrived they do reservations which I totally recommend as its hard if you do a walk in especially on a weekend. I heard if you come during the weekends it’s flat out busy! So make sure you book in advance, it would be hard to do a walk in. There is public transport available like buses but the closest train would be rooty hill. The location is in a great spot where there is heavy foot traffic also there is a small park in front for kids. The menu is easy to read with many alacart options and self explanatory information of food. 10/10 for customer service! Service was prompt and straight forward. 10/10 for the yummy food, a tad bit overpriced but that’s Sydney for you. They both have the dine in and takeaway option I would recommend booking in advance especially if you are wanting good sitting. Price ranges from $4.50 - $45 I love the ambience of the place, and the vibe. The customer service was great! And the food was super delicious. Overall experience 10/10 #Sydney #Australia #modernfilipino #asian #filipino #philippines #lunch #beef #lechon #park #karekare

Filipino favourites are given much love and care here, they cook with pride and there are regularly queues on the weekends. Whether it be crispy pata, sisig, grilled chicken, adobo pork, kare kare or sinigang, they've got all the crowd pleasers. On weekends you would be smart to book in for portions of the lechon in advance if you aren't dining early, although the sign suggests prebookings for min 2 portions so it depends on the size of your group, but it is worth it. Lechon in Sydney can be some combination of overcooke/dry, and not crispy. But, here, even at the end of the service it is coming in still crispy and maintaining juiciness, come to think of it I don't think I've ever had lechon cooked so perfectly in Sydney until here. And I didn't see garlic fried rice in the menu but asked for it and ended up with the most garlicky fried rice I've had in a long time, just perfect. They are not the fastest between cooking to order, large numbers between dining-in and takeaway, and the volume as well as variety of different dishes getting ordered per table, so you need a little patience but it's all worth it. No wonder this place has its regulars queueing up all the time.

Last Sunday I had the pleasure to have lunch here. Busy busy busy....there was a queue outside, bookings only. A sure sign we were in for a treat. Sir Manong, an interestingly decorated modern bistro-like atmosphere, without any pretention, yet comfortable and welcoming, (as all Filipinos are). I admit I could not order, but luckily, members of my family could. I learned that my fav dish was called Kari kari, fried chunks of slow cooked beef, in a peanut based gravy....then there was the famous national dish, Lechon, roasted pork knuckles with a vinegar dipping sauce. There was something like a ham steaks, with a pugnent shrimp paste ... (acquired taste), and a cast iron pan of minced pork with lots of interesting "other' bits.....I think it was called Sigsig? Anyway, we rolled out after devouring the huge amount of meat, fully satisfied. At around $35pp including lots of kalamansi juice...I'd say it's definitely worth a return visit...and I come from the Northern Beaches!! (over 40klms away). Service was good, the place was very clean, despite being crowded and running at capacity. Well done Sir!...Manong.
