WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE?

Something’s seriously gone wrong with this shop.

I’ve eaten at all four of their locations, and it’s the same story every time: • Dry, stringy beef smothered in salt and way too many spices. • Roast potatoes coated in yellow seasoning that burns the corners of your mouth — nothing like a proper roast spud. • Undercooked potato bake with raw, crunchy slices. • Casserole that’s supposed to be rich and comforting, but instead is over-salted and unnecessarily spicy. • Rice pudding that somehow manages to taste soapy — completely off. • Even the roast pumpkin had something sweet on it — like brown sugar — and it just didn’t belong. • The only halfway decent item? The chips. And even they were just “okay”.

What used to be a simple, traditional roast shop has now turned into something else entirely. Instead of honest, no-fuss food, every dish feels overcomplicated and drowned in spices — even when it doesn’t need any. It’s like someone’s trying to “reinvent” the roast dinner, and completely missing the mark.

These meals aren’t rustic or hearty — they’re just harsh, unbalanced, and poorly done.

Across four shops, not a single one got it right. That tells you everything.

The Portuguese burger is not a grilled chicken burger, it has schnitzel on it, however it is not on the schnitzel burger menu, it was on the normal chicken menu.

Maybe this was my mistake.

I did not want a schnitzel burger I do not like them. Think this should probably go on the schnitzel menu so it is clear.

And i gotta say that this is what it's all about ... best burger I've had in a long time everything was cooked to perfection ... staff were amazing at their service and so patient for a first time visitor like myself
