Worst experience we've ever had at any Rashays restaurant. After seating we waited to order but no one came so had to go and ask if we had to order at the register. They finally sent someone, so we ordered, they got half the drinks order wrong. Coke instead of Lemonade, orange juice instead of apple. Later came the food, except my partner's main, it never came. As we all ate, we asked a waitress about the missing main, she said I'll check for you, but we never heard from her again. After a while we asked someone else. She said I'll see if it's ready, again never heard from her again. At this stage everyone was almost finished their mains, and my partner's main still nothing. I finally asked the same waitress we ordered from, she said I'll find out, she actually came back and said it's coming out soon. By then we were all pretty much finished. Once the last main arrived, my drink was finished, I asked for a re-fill, had to wait like another 10 min to get my re-fill and it was the wrong drink. I didn't want to wait another 10min again so I just took it. By then we were all done eating and my partner had only eaten half and she didn't want to make us wait any longer for dessert. So she decided to get the rest of her main takeaway. So a waitress came to clean up and take the plates, to my luck she dropped everything over the edge of the table right next to my lap. Some of the sauce in a plate went on my beige pants and stained them. So we decided we didn't want any dessert anymore and just wanted to get the hell out of there. We paid for everything and left. I later tryed washing my pants and get the stains out, the pants are ruined, $90 wasted, had to throw them away. My family, friends and I will never be going back there. Even though they apologised and all but it was just such a horrible experience. And it ended up costing way more than...
Read moreHorrible experience today at Rashays Mt Druitt. Went with great expectations as having just started Ramadan buffet iftar from Saturday. We were expecting the same kind of experience we have had in the past at Rashays Punchbowl and Rashays Carramar in previous Ramadans.
There was absolute no organization of buffet arrangements. They seemed to have overbooked for iftar and a lot of us who booked beforehand and arrived on time (i.e. at 6:45 as they mentioned over phone at the time of booking), we were left stranded outside the doors in a queue way after iftar time. It seems the team had no idea of what to expect and had received no training whatsoever on handling the incoming diners who were fasting since dawn. While as a first timer this may be expected but the extent of mismanagement was way overboard. On top of that, the most disappointing was the buffet items itself. Iftar buffet at Rashays never ceased to amaze me with the variety and taste being 10/10. But my experience today at Rashays Mt Druitt was very disappointing. The variety of buffet items were nearly one third less than any of the other Rashays I have been to in previous years. There was literally just 2 varieties of pizza, 2 pasta, 2 chicken grilled/snitty, chicken wings and nuggets/chips/cheese balls. None of the amazing salads, beef steaks, lamb cuts, ribs, soups were there.
Regardless they charged the full amount. At the time of paying at the counter, I stated about the disappointing services and variety of items compared to other Rashays, and they simply ignored me and was just focussed on taking the payment. Had I been at the customer service end, I would have apologized and offered some reduced charge for the hassle and below quality food and services. Will surely not be going back to Rashays Mt Druitt for iftar and will not recommend anyone...
Read moreFirst time attending the Mt Druitt Rashays and honestly pretty terrible.
We used to frequent the Mount Annan restaurant, but after moving its been about 12 months and we were keen to try again.
First impression, pretty lifeless. We walked in there was only one other customer, the wait staff were nice though. However, we were sat next to the a table that had food and leftovers scattered everywhere and on the ground, not sure why we were seated there to be honest, or why it wasn't clean considering no one was in there?
Décor is well dated, couch seats not really clean and were clearly damaged/scuffed.
For order, pretty disappointed the breakfast muffin wasn't on the menu (not sure if this a case-by-case / restaurant -by-restaurant basis) but instead was a "breakfast burger". This burger was basically a cheeseburger with egg. Wasn't the same.
We also ordered a bruschetta.
Given how quiet it was, we were talking but we could over hear and (I could see from my angle) one of the waitresses repeatedly loudly asking "Why don't we have corn?" at least 3/4 times. The Kitchen staff member gave some vague response and notably shrugged his shoulders. We then heard the same waitress asking if she could make the bruschetta, but hilariously shouting in the kitchen to the other staff member "HOW DO I MAKE IT?" at least twice. So props to her in wanting to do something, but even if it were true, we don't want to sit there and know that something we are paying for is prepared by someone who doesn't know what they are doing..
Anyway the food came, and honestly and objectively, it wasn't good. Not terrible, but not good.
Overall a pretty funny but horrendous experience, and I would recommend anyone reading to just walk that extra 1min over into the Westfields and get...
