Really really bad service on Saturday

I ordered the almond croissant and asked for cutting in half and over toast. I repeated it at least 3 times bc the guy gave me a confusing face, but he said he knew it. Then when I opened the bag sitting on library, it was actually H&C croissant. I went back for refund, they gave me my almond croissant. But it was very messy in 4 pieces in the bag. I felt so sad. 😩😩

I wanna change it, they just laughed and didn’t take me seriously, felt like I was the ridiculous person, but actually it was not my fault.I was about to cry, I knew it’s not normal but I had a very long week. Anyways, they remade it for me and I repeated for at least 2 times a again for toasting a bit longer, over toast. They said yes. But when I got my croissant, it was just warm on the surface and cold inside. I literally gave up.🤬This is a very basic thing and it was even not a busy time in the cafe. I felt so bad about it. They just didn’t treat their customers seriously, didn’t do good job, not responsible. Really bad customer service.

The whole thing i wanted was just a cut in half and over toasted almond croissant, very simple, but I didn’t get it. 😭😭😭🤬🤬

Ps: it reminds me of another bad experience happened in May, my first day in the uni. I wanted to order the chai latte, while the clerk doubted my order at least two times, to make sure I wanna order the chai, not the latte or other coffee. “ no i just want a chai latte today “ I was a little bit offended at that time. And when I got the chai, the barista also talked to me in a very strange flavor. “ next time, you really should try the real coffee “ I mean, are you serious? I am also a barista, I’ll never ever doubt or accuse or judge customers’ orders, just give them what they want. It’s not respectful at all. Also, the chai was too sweet and burnt . I don’t think the barista is professional.

I already felt like I would never visit it again at that time but maybe another chance. But, just bad. Your staff really need a better training of how to do customer...

Dear Management/Owner,

I would normally let this slide but I feel the need to bring this to your attention.

On Saturday, 4 November 2023, I ordered an iced mocha coffee from your shop and I was really disappointed with the product served.

I am an avid drinker of coffee and I have been your customer for many years so I have a good sense of what a good cup of coffee is like.

A good iced mocha coffee should have a large quantity of large ice to keep the drink cold and prevent dilution.  The sugar should be dissolved by the espresso before being mixed in to ensure consistency in the texture.

The coffee I got is an iced coffee with a tiny bit of ice and the sugar is not probably dissolved because I can feel the sugar grain.

I spoke to the barista and asked if I could have a different drink because I was really disappointed with the iced coffee that was being made. I was reprimanded for not knowing what good coffee is and I should check before ordering the coffee.

I don't think this should be an acceptable experience for your customer. I strongly believe that this is not a unique experience because I read about a similar experience on Google review and this issue seems to happen only on Saturdays.

Moving forward, I will not be getting coffee from your place on Saturday anymore because it is not worth it to pay so much for coffee to get a subpar experience.

It is honestly such a waste that your good reputation is being ruined by unprofessional staff that are rude to your customers because, to that barista, this is not his business so he doesn't care what happens to it as long as...

I waited about 20 minutes today but still didn't get my pasta. After waiting about ten minutes, I asked the clerk to check. She took a look at my number and went into the kitchen. I continued to wait for my pasta. The people who ordered after me had already gotten their stuff and left. so, I asked the clerk again. She showed the number to the male clerk, who told me I had to wait two minutes. But I had already waited over 20 minutes and asked for a refund. The male clerk told me I couldn't get a refund because I had already paid for it. I really couldn't understand his logic. He said I should inform the clerk if I didn't get the pasta. Yes, that does make sense. And I did do so. You should have solved my problem when I first asked the clerk instead of keeping me waiting. I wouldn't say I like your attitude. It is your problem that you missed my pasta. Don't blame your problems on a customer who stayed...

Huge fan of Stellini Bar, in my opinion THE BEST food option at UNSW. Here’s why! 1. Fast and efficient service! Even during peak lunch time I get my order quickly! Efficient number call out system with a screen display to ensure you haven’t missed your number. 2. Great value with low prices and large servings! Within this economy?! Sadly a rare sight, plus its mostly carbs so it’ll keep you full and they have so many options, you aren’t paying for just the bare minimum of pasta. 3. Tastes really good! I specifically recommend the ‘Funghi’ and ‘Ceci’ pastas, I reckon the best tasting pastas within the vegetarian section. Feedback I’d love to see Stellini Bar implement in the future: Would love to see halal meat options on the menu! I love all the vegetarian options but I’d love to taste the meat pastas but unfortunately cannot since there aren’t halal meat options 😔😔. Literally my only critique lol 😂.

This is the summary of what I bought from this shop (since January 2023); All I tried only once. Sides -Peach Raspberry Bread is ok, warm these bread so it'll be more delicious! Kinda remind me a bit of banana bread. -Caramel donut is quite good but unfortunately the caramel hits the packaging :<. Pasta price ok. A lot of options for pasta type. Other places usually more expensive but usually has more pasta or the pasta is handmade so felt fresh. -There is storage smells for Gnochi unfortunately. -Dimare Extra anchovies (linguine) is good. -I tried carbonara from my friend and it is the best from what I have tried in the store! -Broccoli Penne is good, spicy though. Pic: Dimare xtra anchovies

For its price the pasta is really great, made fresh to order. I ordered the di mare with linguine and I can’t express enough how big the portion is, matches the appetite of hungry university students :D The taste itself is quite balance, not too sweet for the marinara sauce. I really like how they use a lot of kind of seafood for this pasta, making it legit. NOT some kind of “seafood” pasta that only uses prawn & squid. Really satisfied with the overall experience, they could improve waiting times tho especially when its busy but I could see they’re making all the efforts possible If you haven’t tried you should definitely give it a try and I will come back next time Love it 👍
