Good atmosphere with nice music. Playing lots of golden classics! Very enjoyable atmosphere.
Had pork ribs and haloumi as entree.
Haloumi was good, cooked well and drizzled with balsamic. Ribs however were not great. Slightly overcooked and burnt on one end. But you really couldn't tell as much because it was drowned in sauce. ... Like way too much. The sauce was very rich. Very deep flavour and bodied. Might go better with beef ribs but it's too much for pork ribs. You couldn't taste the meat, just felt like I ate a tub of sauce. This is probably the whole concept though as the place is called sticky ribs. I suppose you can remove some of it, which I did a little. I ate the ribs away from the main plate so I didn't get any of the extra sauce ( see second photo).
In the end I didn't really like the sauce though, too rich and too bodied, it overpowers everything. It just doesn't match pork, probably better with beef. My wife didn't eat the ribs but tried the sauce and she didn't like it either.
Portion of ribs was good, similar pricing to hurricanes with a half cut. Note this is not a full rack of ribs serving but it's the bigger rib cut. So it's enough for one person.
They do offer gloves which is great, I like to get my hands dirty so I declined. But what would be good is a bib to protect your clothes and wet wipes for afterwards. Especially ribs that saucy. Two photos, one of the ribs and one of how much sauce was left not including what I scraped off.
Also personal pet peeve, generally prefer places when you ask for water, tap is given, or at least the choice. There's nothing wrong with our tap water in Australia and bottled just feels like a needless cash grab or a waste of resources. Fine it you want bottled water and ask for it. but offer tap water too. I get there is a cost associated with this too but include as part of your pricing. I did ask for normal water which could have been my mistake and they do offer tap, but just received a...
Read moreI’ve been here 3 times now and it was so good but today was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in my life literally! We ordered lamb cutlets, garlic cob, chicken ribs, corn cob.
The lamb cutlets crumbled in my mouth it tasted like vomit with extreme amount of lemon felt like I ate a whole lemon. It tasted like it was cooked from months ago not FRESH whats so ever! 🤮 I can’t believe it crumbled like it was fake meat. The meat also stunk
The corn dorito cob was decent.
The garlic cob literally tasted like I drank 5 litres of oil/butter and no taste of garlic whats so ever.
The chicken ribs was tasteless even with the sauce on it. It was hard and not tender at all it was extremely dry and not fresh at all.
The coleslaw was extremely lemony, I just don’t undertand why was everything lemony it was never like that before. Eveything was so bitter and disgusting and left a bad after taste in my mouth.
Baked potatos was not nice for something so simple to make.
The whole bill costed $106, I dont care about the money part but before I paid I told the waitress about my experience with the food and I still had to pay for the whole bill. It literally was a waste of money. All I got was a sorry and she will tell the boss or manager but that was it. I did have a table booked for 15 people, im going to be canceling that because I don’t want to embarrass myself. Im not a type to ever write a review but that was one of the worst ever experiences I’ve had with food in my life. I don’t recommend anyone to come here till something is done about the food. My rate...
Read moreI must say, we made the perfect decision choosing to spend our Saturday night at Sticky Ribs! The name says it all – the ribs were absolutely divine. However, the star of the show was undeniably the garlic cob. Its crispy exterior gave way to a soft, warm center, which was complemented perfectly by the garlic butter. Every dish we ordered – the King prawns, beef ribs – was seasoned and cooked to perfection, leaving us beyond satisfied. On top of that, the service was impeccable; we were treated to complimentary Carpaccio and a dessert, which made our night truly memorable. The portions were generous, and the atmosphere was friendly, rounding out our experience. We couldn't have asked for more!"
And let me tell you, the ribs were so incredibly soft and tender that they simply melted off the bone. The sauce itself was divine, with a perfect balance between smoky and sweet notes that complemented the dish to a tee. It was as if each bite brought a different sensation to our palates – a true culinary delight!"
To make things even better, everything was freshly made on the spot, and the service was impressively quick. The overall experience was absolutely delightful, I can't wait to come back and try even more of their delicious menu offerings, like the chicken ribs and corn cob. Thanks to Sticky Ribs, we had a night...
