Sunbeam Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

I've only ever ordered from Uber eats, but everything has been fantastic, and they are amazing at making changes, and they are always great tasting, and texture. I will definitely have to dine-in one of these days, so I can get the best experience. I really wish people would actually give places another chance, or not post negative comments when it's something out of the venues control, like flies & covid, instead contact the restaurant and get their feedback, businesses are not perfect, and are allowed to have bad days, I will give the benefit of the doubt, depending on the issue though, and how they handled it. My 3 year old approached the cafe to fill up his water and he ignored him and refused. I then approached and he told me there was a water fountain in the park. It was a 39 degree day and the water was warm in the fountain. I said he’s asked you for water, can you please just use your tap. He didn’t even half fill it. Both the man and lady made a scene because I got cross at his reaction. Photo for reference of rude man and lady. It was a hot day and no matter my situation, tap water is never too much to ask.

I’ve visited and bought from this cafe regularly just because it’s next to the playground. But I won’t in the future. Leaf cafe is much better, and they’re always polite.

Have been to this cafe a few times. Today, we ordered the egg and bacon roll with coffee, and a side order of bacon. This side order was for our dog. We received the rolls but no side order. Was told the cook added this to the roll. Not what we wanted. They did give us free of charge a side order after they seen their mistake.

Smoking. All we could smell was a table of people smoking with their meals. Staff did nothing to control the smoking issue.

Would we return. NO. Reasons. Staff and management did nothing to control the smoking. Food took too long to arrive. Missed items...
