Thai Paragon delivered an experience that combined authentic flavours, generous portions, and beautifully presented dishes.
We began with the Herby Duck, where roasted duck was chopped and tossed with Thai herbs, chilli, and lime dressing, then served on crisp baby cos lettuce leaves. Fresh, tangy, and full of flavour, it was the perfect appetiser to set the tone.
The Stir-Fried Prawns in Lemongrass Sauce turned out to be the spiciest dish of the evening. The aroma of chopped lemongrass paired with seasonal vegetables, Thai herbs, and a light drizzle of coconut milk created a dish that was both fiery and refreshing.
From there, the Thai Paragon Fried Rice showcased why it’s a signature item on the menu. Fragrant rice stir-fried with egg, herbs, and their homemade sauce, then topped with three chargrilled king prawns. Each spoonful carried a depth of flavour, while the prawns added a smoky richness.
The Tom Yum Po-Taek, a chef’s recommendation, was everything you want in a Tom Yum soup – hot, sour, and deeply aromatic. Infused with lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, dried chillies, mushrooms, tomatoes, and mixed seafood, it was hearty and incredibly satisfying.
Finally, the highlight of the evening was the Three Flavour Barramundi. A whole deep-fried barramundi, perfectly crisp on the outside and tender inside, topped with a sweet tamarind and chilli sauce. The addition of pineapple, lychee, cashews, vegetables, and stir-fried bok choy elevated the dish to something truly special – bold, balanced, and perfect for sharing.
