Horrific experience. We have always ordered pizzas from XS and although the downside was they always took a while they were well worth the wait because they were so good. However, we ordered 3 pizzas from them on the 12/4/23 and I have never been more shocked than I was when I opened the boxes. They were like cardboard. Completely dry, flat, weightless (I could pick the whole pizza up with two fingers and it was like a piece of burnt Lebanese flat bread). It was all cracked due to how overcooked it was and I believe this is the reason none of the pizzas were cut - because if they were the whole thing would have fallen apart and looked like a cracked mess because of how dry it was. The toppings were different (our garlic and cheese was onion and cheese and instead of roasted capsicums on one of the pizzas it was dried cranberries - absolutely bizarre). I was so disgusted by what we received that after Uber eats dropped it off I drove to the restaurant to take it back. It was inedible and completely unacceptable. The staff on that night where a handful of young girls, the one at the counter who dealt with me was very apologetic and told me that it was a new chef on that night and it was her first day - which I’m sorry to say is still not a reasonable excuse - my 3 year old could have produced a better pizza. A Woolworths frozen pizza would have been luxury compared to this. As we ordered through Uber eats the restaurant could not offer me a refund and as of yet - a day later - I’m still yet to hear back from Uber and get my money back, which is absolutely frustrating. I thought about whether or not I should post this review but I absolutely think people should know what they are getting themselves into when the order from XS now. They have lost us as loyal customers due to this. I really hope it’s a learning lesson to the owners to do better and at the very least test someone’s ability to cook before hiring them as a chef!

Went here a couple of days ago with some friends. Overall a very good experience! We will definitely be going back to try out some more of their menu. GOOD: - Clean, nice decor, well maintained - Nice location and plenty of parking nearby - Friendly, helpful staff - Chips were cooked to perfection, don't think I've had better chips anywhere else. They were also non-greasy which is good - Burgers were tasty, well cooked and well presented, with fresh ingredients and minimal oil coming from the meat paddy - The drinks were tasty and well presented, and the waffles on the top of my drink were really tasty and fresh - You basically don't need to order a desert if you get one of the XS shakes, it's more or less desert included (with the amount of melted chocolate and other extras that come with the drink) ---------- OK: - Costs are a little bit on the pricier side (from memory, between $15-18 for the drink, and the same for the burger), however I think it's worth it for the quality of the food - One of my friends had the potato gem on top of his burger (he got the same burger I did) way overcooked, although the one I had was cooked perfectly - My other friend who got a golden gaytime drink said the donut things on top of the drink were starting to get a little bit stale, but the drink was otherwise nice - The drinks provided for the XS shakes were a little short, you pretty much had to faceplant the cup to get the last of the drinks out ---------- BAD: - The cups the water came in could have used a bit of a better clean, a couple of them had residue of something I wiped off

**UPDATE** Came back to experience the amazing food but was let down. Ordered the XS Stack, was left wanting, the stack was not much of a stack with most of it taken up by 2 huge slices of grilled tomato which left the whole thing soggy. The bread/sour dough was soft and soggy. Poached eggs were overcooked. The large coffee i got was small but was strong and hot. The service was ok, i asked the waiter what he recommended, and he didn't say anything and almost felt like he didn't understand english. The music is so loud you can't even hear yourself think, had to go outside to make a business call. I'm not sure what has happened to this place, but a big fall from grace from my last visit. Will try the new coffee place down the road now. ------- My partner and I went here the other day for a sunday brunch, and we seriously thought the Pope was here. There were hundreds of people there. Thankfully, we got the front door with ease and were seated within 5 minutes. We browsed the menu, and ohh lord, the food sounded delightful. Anyone would think that they own all the chocolate in the world as pretty much everything has chocolate in it. Which trust me is a good thing. I ordered a protein shake, coffee, and a watermelon salad. My partner ordered the haloumi and egg on toast and a coffee. It's absolutely amazing. Everything tasted great. The service was great. We will definitely be back. The only sore point was how busy it is. But I guess when it's so good you are going to be busy. 5 Stars all-around guys.

A Hidden Gem for Coffee Lovers - XS Cafe Gregory Hills

Nestled in the heart of Gregory Hills, XS Cafe is a delightful surprise that has quickly become my go-to spot for a perfect cup of coffee. This charming café offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with friendly service, making it a true gem for coffee enthusiasts.

From the moment you step inside XS Cafe, you are greeted with a vibe that immediately puts you at ease. The interior design is a tasteful blend of modern and rustic elements, perfectly complemented by soft lighting and comfortable seating arrangements. It's the ideal place to unwind and enjoy some quality time alone or catch up with friends.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the coffee. XS Cafe takes their coffee seriously, and it shows in every sip. Their baristas are undoubtedly skilled, consistently crafting expertly brewed cups of coffee that are rich, flavorful, and oh-so-smooth. Whether you prefer a classic cappuccino, a velvety latte, or a robust espresso, XS Cafe has got you covered.

Not only does XS Cafe excel in their coffee offerings, but their menu also boasts a mouthwatering selection of delectable treats. From freshly baked pastries to scrumptious sandwiches and salads, their food options perfectly complement the coffee experience. I highly recommend trying their avocado smash on sourdough – it's simply divine!

What sets XS Cafe apart from other coffee shops in the area is their commitment to customer satisfaction. The staff members are incredibly friendly, always ready with a smile and eager to assist you with any inquiries or recommendations you may need. So glad I've found a new "local"! I say "local" as this is the closest place to me with a decent coffee within a 15min drive.

Staff and environment: The coffee is always on point and young Daniel and the team run a pretty tight ship, paying attention to even the oat and almond milk they choose to use for those lactose-intolerant of us.

Service from Naz, Rafi, Sohel, Summer, Eve, Lisa, Deanna et al. are always delivered with a smile and genuine friendliness. And if you're into a bit of banter, the team is always quick with a quip and happy to engage to keep the vibe light-hearted. It's a really friendly and personable atmosphere which I always appreciate. Decor is simple and modern industrial with concreted floor and walls and a high-ceiling and airy feel.

Food and drink: As mentioned, the coffee is pretty much always up to a high standard. And on the very rare occasion when it isn't, they're very quick to rectify without making you feel like it was a hassle. I've always found them to be very open to feedback with genuine curiosity and a desire to improve.

My favourite beverages of choice include their Almond Mocha (by Lisa and Daniel in particular) and currently in the warmer months, a blended Iced Coffee frappé (don't judge me) - Deanna and Summer make a particularly good one with just the right slushy consistency with a dollop of ice-cream and ice and full-bodied espresso note that is beyond anything you could hope to get from places like a Starbucks.

I've tried pretty much the entire menu and haven't found anything I didn't like as yet. My personal go-to's include Pumpkin & Haloumi Salad with Grilled Prawns, Secret Chicken Sandwich and Chorizo and Prawn Aglio e Olio Linguine. Tradies seem to particularly like their Beef Sausage & Egg Roll or their Breakfast Burger as well; after trying those a little while back, I can back their choice and it definitely hits the spot if you're feeling peckish.

The owner Ljubinko ("LJ"), runs the business well. I like how the portions are always generous and the ingredients are fresh and top-notch and they don't cut corners and buy the cheapest available like many places these days. This is particularly evident when you try their pumpkin, prawns, salmon and any of the leafy greens.

I give this place 9.5 out of 10 and I'm so glad there's a place like this all the way out this way in my neighbourhood. If you're a local or just passing through, make sure you stop by and...

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was so bad, I feel obligated to warn others. This place is honestly one of the worst dining environments I've ever encountered - and I still baffled how this venue is even passing basic health and safety standards. Cleanliness? Non-existent. The tables were filthy, not wiped even once despite multiple customers coming and going. Leftover crumbs, greasy smears, and dried coffee spills covered most surfaces. The floor was sticky in places and littered with napkins and food scraps. I even peeked under the bench seat- disgusting. Food wrappers, bits of old fries, dust balls — it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. What really blows my mind is that no one working there cared. Staff walked past dirty tables like it was normal. Zero urgency. Zero accountability. Honestly, how this place isn't being flagged by the local council inspectors is beyond me. There are food vans cleaner than this. The staff? A group of teenagers who were clearly more interested in their own conversations than in doing their jobs. Not once did anyone greet me ore / acknowledge that i was standing at the counter waiting to order. They were giggling behind the barista station, gossiping loudly while customers sat waiting for food and drinks. Completely unprofessional and immature. Zero customer service skills. When I finally placed my order, the attitude I received was like I was inconveniencing them. No eye contact, no 'thank you', just a grunted response and a blank stare. I've received more warmth from a vending machine. Now let's talk about the food - overpriced for what you get. My coffee was bitter and burnt. The food was mediocre at best - eggs overcooked, toast soggy, bacon dripping in oil. It felt like the kind of breakfast you'd expect at a cheap truck stop, except here it cost me over $30. They're clearly charging premium prices for an Instagram-friendly brand, but none of that is backed by actual quality or care. The ambience? Loud, chaotic, and dirty. Tables crammed together. Loud music that didn't match the mood of a brunch cafe. Kids running around because no one from staff bothered to maintain some order or make families feel welcome. Overall? A complete mess. XS Gregory Hills is nothing more than a style over substance cafe trying to ride the wave of a trend they clearly don't understand. It's not just bad - it's embarrassingly bad. wouldn't return if...
