The Alley Lujiaoxiang in Bankstown is a laid-back spot perfect for uni students cramming for exams or groups winding down after dinner. The space nails versatility with its mix of seating—lounge-style couches, low tables for casual chats, and high benches for street style seating during the summer breeze. It’s clean, bright, and unpretentious, offering a relaxed vibe that’s ideal for both productivity and casual hangs. The drinks are decent and consistent, though don’t expect hey tea or Molly tea standards. Classics like the Brown Sugar Milk Tea and Matcha Latte are reliably satisfying, with chewy tapioca pearls that hit the mark. Service is friendly and quick, though the menu could use more adventurous options to spice things up. While it’s not the place for groundbreaking beverages, its strength lies in its comfy setup and fuss-free approach. If you’re after a low-key spot to study, chat, or sip something familiar, The Alley Lujiaoxiang fits the bill.

The Alley Lujiaoxiang has been a sensation in Vietnam for the past years for its signature brown sugar pearls milk tea ( Tra sua tran chau Duong den). With a big Vietnamese community, opening the Alley is a wise move in Bankstown. I first visited the store when it first opened in 2019, and it was a letdown for the underwhelming brown sugar milk tea. Try mixing very boiling water with some ice, you get warm tea, not cold tea. It took ages for the drink to be ready. Nowadays, this special drink is usually sold out. I don’t get it if you know a certain drink is popular, why not make extra? ✔️In Vietnam, the tips for drinking brown sugar milk tea on the drink: 1) Best consume without shaking 2) you can change the sweetness level by using the straw the stir 9 times, to enjoy the brown the wonderful brown sugar pearls

Cosy bubble tea shop with nice seating. Very spacious! Recently started getting my bbt fix here more often and I’m sad I didn’t do it sooner. The drink combinations here are sooo good. Different asian flavours from your basic gong cha. Tried a bunch of flavours and they have always been really good! Even when ordering full sugar, the drinks are not too sweet so it’s a delight to drink. The JJK collab was a must try for us and Gojo’s drink was yum. The coconut smoothie had the right consistency and paired with the different jellies; it was YUMM. definitely getting it again! Thanks for making yummy drinks 🤪 More local casual eats! head to my ig ;) @hangryhawlz

Its the worst customer service ever.

I went to The Alley store in Bankstown with my takeaway food. I have ordered 2 cup of milk tea for takeaway.

When i collected my drink , I asked them for a plastic bag so i can easier to carry since i have another bag of food with me. A young guy at cashier told me I need to pay 10 cent for a bag. I was happy to pay and use my bank card. He said I CAN ONLY USE CASH for that 10 cent as he could not charge me 10 cent by card.

I told him I dont have cash with me, I only have card. He said its none of his business. I need to either pay 10 cent in CASH or he CAN NOT offer the plastic bag for me.

I told him why did not he ask me if I need a plastic bag since i ordered 2 drinks then he could charge that extra 10 cent when i paid for a drink. He said I as a customer need to told him that I need that plastic bag NOT him.

I wonder if that 10 CENT OR A PLASTIC BAG was worth for the argument with a customer who bought 2 drinks which cost $17.4 and he does not have hand...

This place ALWAYS runs out of brown sugar drinks in the evening. Given this is their signature and most popular item, it is quite a disappointment! The first time they ran out, we were told before ordering so we could make a decision to leave or order something else from their menu. This time round, I had ordered the drinks, paid for them by card and was then told brown sugar drinks were unavailable. The worker then refused to give any refund either by card or cash and simply said it was due to the fact we paid for them by card! You should know well that this is NOT ACCEPTABLE as you have not provided what we have ordered. You're very lucky that I chose not to make a scene, however I hope this google review will warn others of their terrible service and not to come here! Drinks are quite average by the way and like other reviews have mentioned, very pricey...
