The Stuffed Beaver is a modern Bondi institution. It has a North Americana flavour, with a sports/rock bar meets American diner feel.

The decor is engaging, the rock music strangely appealing, and the food and drinks are to die for.

The burgers are delicious and the poutine, a Quebec national dish consisting of fries, gravy and melting cheese curds, is arguably the best in Sydney.

My favourite is the 3 Little Pigs poutine, served with three kinds of pork: bacon, pulled pork and pork sausage.

While there, make sure to try their 'Bloody Caesar' a fabulously spicy house version of a Bloody Mary.

The staff are down to earth, friendly, yet immaculately professional.

And don't forget to have a go on the old arcade game in the bar which, depending on your age, will transport you back to your childhood in the 80s ... it's not just a diner – it's also a time machine.

And when your lunch or dinner is over, you will most likely feel like a ... stuffed beaver. Albeit, a very satisfied...

Normally I love this place, and go here specifically for the poutine. But my most recent takeaway order was pretty disapppointing. It usually takes me five minutes to smash a box of their chicken wings but this time I couldn't even finish it. The meat quality was poor, with gristle and tendons all over the place, and it was almost as if they had been reheated in a microwave because they were so tough. Unfortunately the poutine was not up to its usual standards either with hard, undercooked fries. They had delivered it in twenty minutes but I would rather that they had taken longer and worked on the quality of the meal than...

Don’t write many reviews but had to do my bit for this great Bondi spot to undo some of the damage caused by the Kranky Karens giving 1 star reviews for absolute nonsense - seriously, who does that to a local business?

I’m a Bondi local and have been coming here for over 10 years with mates or my kids, service, atmosphere and food always really great, with decent value drinks and a sweet vibe.

Beaver people, and anybody looking for a great burger in Bondi - ignore the haters, they’re the ones that need to change.

However if you brought back the blue cheese burger and the arcade machine, that would make things even...
