I had a fantastic experience at Bondi Road Seafoods! The waitstaff were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, making our dining experience enjoyable from the start. The restaurant itself was impeccably clean, creating a pleasant atmosphere to dine in. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. It was nothing short of exceptional. Everything we ordered, from the calamari and salmon to the fries and mixed salads, was not only fresh but also bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delightful experience, and it's evident that they prioritize the quality of their ingredients. What pleasantly surprised me was that all of this came at a fair price, which is often hard to find in a beachside restaurant. Bondi Road Seafoods offers value for money without compromising on taste or service. I highly recommend Bondi Road Seafoods to anyone looking for a top-notch seafood dining experience. I can't wait to return soon and savor their delicious offerings once again!

The best Fish & Chips place in Bondi, hands down. Dedicated & hard working family business, with an excellent & varied menu, extra fresh seafood, fish, salads and service tailored to your taste. Absolutely loved eating from plates, with cutlery, rather then being patched away with a soggy cardboard box! They are taking the extra steps to really look after their customers, provide fresh & tasty food with excellent care and attention. Do yourself a favour and climb the hill from the beach to this place, sit outside the shop enjoying your grilled fish, octopus, prawns, chips & salads and watch the world go by. Then walk into one of the many bars to have a cold one or take the kids up the road to the chocolate shop or the bakery for an extra treat I know I'll make sure to visit these champs next time I'm in Bondi!

We were looking for seafood places nearby while visiting the Bondi beach and found this gem with the help from google map. This is one of the best seafood place that I’ve tried in Australia. The fish felt perfectly cooked with no raw smell - both for the grilled and battered fish. We only took the fish without chips, because we were looking for light snacks and tbh was a bit short of money 🤣 But the fish size was generous enough to make up for those chips. Each fish costed 12 dollars. (Even though from google menu, we saw it to be 10. Maybe they increased the price a bit) I liked both of them very much, definitely want to try them again. Maybe even the platters I wish!

I ordered the battered fish with chips. The battered fish was a local ocean fish called "something " -"Dory", I think. I didn't find the fish very appetizing. A little dry for my liking compared to the gummy shark meat I'm used to eating with fish and chips having grown up in Melbourne. Nevertheless, the batter was good, probably a 3.5 out of 5. The chips were also good, and I'd rate them a 4/5. They were freshly prepared and crispy. They were just a little less flavorful compared to what I'm used to..not sure if it's a different oil, or different potato, compared to what's used in Melbourne, Australia. The guy who served me my order gets a 5/5. Prior to handing me my order he asked me if I wanted salt or anything else on my fish and chips and that's exactly how it's done! Not only that, he fulfilled my not-so-common requests with a smile, he was conversational, and very pleasant. Unfortunately, prior to getting my order I had to sit there and watch/listen to whom I assume is the owner, chastise a couple of the guys working there about something. One of his complaints was the state of the glass display for the beautiful fresh seafood on display. He asked one of the guys to clean that glass with paper, and then I had to watch this guy attempt (very poorly) to clean it with Windex and a very tiny, crumpled up piece of paper in front of me; I'm not sure that's what the owner had in mind! The employee was doing a God awful job of cleaning the glass! 😂 The glass looked better before he touched it! At any rate, the owner looked satisfied that someone seemed to be doing something about the glass and sat down to enjoy his break and meal. I didn't stick around for the fireworks that I'm certain ensued after he finished his meal and got to see the not so great glass-cleaning job that his employee just completed 🤣. Even though the glass-cleaning was quite comical, the whole episode with the "owner" messed up the atmosphere of the place for me, and it's definitely not something that I'd want my kids to have to see, for example, prior to ordering their food. On the flip side, the guy who served me also interacted with a little girl who needed a wet paper napkin. The way he talked to her, the way he described to her that he only had the disinfectant type napkins so that the girl wouldn't use the napkin inappropriately; it was awesome. As a parent, I really appreciated seeing that (advice to owner - talk to your staff about their performance out of sight, and please leave them alone to do their jobs, which they seem to be doing very well). Overall, this place is definitely worth a visit. The fresh fish display is awesome and greets the customer when they come in. There's a good amount of seating out front, and inside too. The location is great if you're on foot, and also ok if you don't mind parking a block or two from the main strip in the area. I'll be coming back but won't be getting the battered fish option again if it's Dory. There were plenty of other options on the menu that day compared to the typical fish and chips store, but I was a bit pressed for time so went for standard fish and chips order. Although the person who I believe to be the owner messed up my experience on this visit, the rest of the experience was very good to excellent. I gave it 4 stars because I ignored the atmosphere issue when rating as I'm hopeful that most customers will not have to endure...

Bondi Rd Seafood is more than meets the eye. In the midst of several fancy close-by restaurants, I was a little skeptical about this place, but it absolutely delivered.

Both my old man and I got the battered fish with chips and salad, which was not only affordable, but exceptional. I've eaten my fair share of fish and chips, but these were the best I've ever eaten from a local fish and chip shop. The fish was cooked to perfection, the batter was crispy and tasty, and the chips were served in a generous portion and also perfectly cooked. The salad was fresh, and we were allowed to have a mixture of all of the available salads, giving us a nice variety.

We got to talking to the owner, who informed us they are a local family owned business, have been there for over 30 years, and stocked with only locally sourced fresh seafood. The atmosphere supports this local and family owned nature, and the fact that they've been there over 30 years is instantly believable with how good the good is.

Fish and chip friday's may be the order of 2014 because of...
