I had the pleasure of venturing to The Cliff Dive on Oxford Street last Saturday night, and it turned out to be an absolute gem of an experience. The entire night was pulsating with a fantastic vibe that had me hooked from the moment I arrived.
The music was undoubtedly a highlight, and it seemed to reach its zenith around 1 am. The DJâs playlist was a mesmerizing journey through rhythm and beats, making me wish the night could go on forever. If youâre a night owl and love music that keeps you moving, this is your haven.
Beyond the music, what truly stood out was the incredible atmosphere. The Cliff Dive has mastered the art of creating an ambiance thatâs both lively and welcoming. Itâs the kind of place where you can let loose and be yourself.
Now, letâs talk about the drinks. They were not only delicious but also incredibly budget-friendly. In a city where high drink prices are the norm, The Cliff Dive offers a breath of fresh air with its affordability. You can enjoy your night without constantly worrying about your wallet.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the safety measures in place. The abundance of plastic cups and containers reassured me that my well-being was a top priority. Itâs reassuring to know that they take safety seriously.
Thereâs one more thing to note: the $20 entry fee. While itâs a reasonable cost for a night of this caliber, itâs essential to factor it into your plans. Trust me; itâs worth every penny for the experience youâll have.
In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend The Cliff Dive if you find yourself on Oxford Street in search of a night filled with dancing, affordable drinks, and an electric atmosphere. Itâs a place that knows how to deliver an unforgettable night out, and Iâm already planning my...
Read moreSecurity isn't great. Feels as though this club wants to get people in so they can pay the entry fee and then look for any chance to kick them out as soon as possible. My group didn't even make it in. It's 3am and we have just waited in line for about 20-30 minutes, most of my party (4 people) were very drunk, excluding myself as I knew I had to drive early the next morning so I paced myself with only a drink here and there. This didn't matter to the security guards, let my three friends in and then hold me to the side, asking where I've been and what I've been up to, make me show three separate forms of ID and then make we wait while they decide if I can go in. They finally decide "I'm showing signs of intoxication" before telling me to go. I call my friends that have just paid the $30 cover charge each and they come out to join me, we then ask for a refund and they make us wait about 20 minutes for the manager to come out. Just feels like a bit of a strategy- group of people, let most of them in and let them pay the cover fee, last person say no, by nature the group leaves, typically people want to keep the night going so they would just leave and not worry about the refund. Just a bit slack considering the amount of people I saw getting let in that could barely stand up straight. (We did get our refund but definitely put an end to our night, on the occasions I have been let in its actually an alright place but the security is always causing issues instead of preventing them from what I've seen, the club across the street is...
Read moreIâll start with compliments first because I barely have any to give. Shoutout to the Bir the bartender for being the most (and possible the only) considerate staff that this place employs.
Not to echo every other review about the security guards (especially the female security), by far the worst attitude and power trippy behaviour Iâve ever experienced from night club security guards. Ironic that they are kicking out people for being apparently âtoo intoxicatedâ when they themselves are the ones intoxicated on the power they abuse. My friend had to sit down as we had been dancing the whole time and put her feet up for a picture and not even a second later, the female security guard comes and tells us to follow her. Then outside, a white bald security guard tries to talk to us. If you are kicking people out for âgood reasonâ there is no need for you to engage with us after we leave the premises with no fuss! Especially as we were a young group of POC girls.
The girls working at the front desk (on March 14th around 10:50pm) were also quite useless and entirely unhelpful. It was our friendâs birthday and it was our first time going to the venue so we didnât think to ask for any birthday benefits (our bad!). Literally 5 mins later we went back upstairs to ask if we could get our friend her birthday benefits and we were turned down. Absolutely no clue who is training these people in customer service but they are clearly doing an amazing job!
Wish we had checked the reviews...
