RUDENESS SO BAD THAT I HAVE CANCELLED MY COFFEE CLUB VIP CARD
My partner and I are regular customers of this particular Coffee Club and have been so since it opened at Top Ryde. At 15:50 (10 minutes to 4) today, 22/12/23, we wanted some coffee and tea. We noticed that chairs had been placed around most of the entrance ways, but staff were still making coffees and there were a number of people seated at some of the tables. I spoke to a tall women behind the counter and asked if the Coffee Club was open. She gave a yes/no equivocation of an answer. She said that they were only doing takeaway coffees. I asked if we could then drink the coffees at one of the tables. She said "No, only takeaway". I clarified by asking again if it was possible to get takeaway drinks and have them at the table. No. Takeaway only. We then went up to a coffee shop at the top of the walkway, directly opposite the Big W store. We bought coffee, tea and some refreshments, and were served them at a table, on proper china cups and plates. After we had made our purchases at stores on that level, we went down the walkway to go to KMart. As we walked past Coffee Club, this time it was 17:00 (an hour and 10 minutes later), we saw that there were still several people seated at the tables, drinking what appeared to be coffees, from takeaway containers. I went immediately over to the counter and confronted the woman who had originally told me "Takeway only". She was at the Espresso machine and appeared to be making more coffees. I said to her, and two of the other employees (with whom I have spoken on many other occasions on our many visits to Coffee Club). She refused to acknowledge what she had done. I asked all of them if the boss, P** knew that they closed at the ridiculous time of 15:50. Yes they said, this was normal. I mentioned that I thought that this was a ridiculously early time to close. I demanded an explanation or an apology from the woman who had told me "No. Takeaway only", earlier. She just ignored me and smirked in a supercilious manner at me and did not offer an apology nor an explanation. As a result of this appalling rudeness and double standard (of allowing some customers and not others the convenience of sitting at one of the tables), I am cancelling my VIP subscription with Coffee Club, immediately, and advising that we will never support this business again and will tell our friends and associates of our...
Read more2.3 - Used to be average, and just like all the reviews, it really puts a dampener on your day when staff look like they don't want to be there and are expressionless. The only saving grace is its position. Further, the new Iced Coffee I got (a miniature version of what I expected and had received) was delivered by somebody with a huge scowl on her face and an irritated tone. My Iced Coffee was propped up by lots of Ice, no doubt a reduction of cost to the Cafe Owners). The quantity and quality of food is not fantastic so you may need someone in there, bright and bubbly, or with the existing staff, please lose the grey clouds and present a more unified happier front for the sake of Customer Service.

Read moreHorrible services. Staff has bad attitude. I ordered Ice Caramel Latte and an Asian lady gave me Ice Caramel Syrup with no Espresso at all. Also managed to overcharged me by 40 cents. How Ice Caramel Syrup is more expensive than the price stated in the menu without the actual coffee in it is beyond me... I was served by an Asian lady (probably from Indo or the Phillipines given her accent) who talked back and raised her voice at me when I asked nicely for my coffee to be added to the Caramel Syrup. She insisted very loudly that she was right and just showing me bad attitude..She was rude, disrespectful and did not apologise to me for giving me the wrong coffee. Another staff rectified the problem but no one said sorry to me which makes me wonder ... has the manager been around to supervise their staffs? I'd rather go to other TCC who can gives me the right order and not dealing with this...
