I was looking to kill some time in the area while waiting for my haircut appointment and stumbled across The Coffee Roaster. Within three minutes of entering the shop, Dan, the founder, approached us in a very friendly way asking if we needed help or had any questions. We were standing right in front of the roasting equipment that is in the open area of the coffee shop for customers to observe, so I had to ask him what this setup is all about. Turns out Dan designed the entire roasting equipment after accumulating decades of experience with roasting coffee and dedicated all his heart into building the most scientific and consistent coffee roasting equipment. Dan spent over an hour showing us the different systems he invented, walking us through the science behind roasting coffee beans, and demonstrating roasting a batch of coffee in an interactive experience. An amazing spot to roast your own coffee!

I visited to do the 30 minute “roast your own coffee” experience. I arrived and was immediately offered a coffee and a sample of a filter they had brewed, which was a great way to start. The experience was really good, and Carter was an excellent host. He took me through a bunch of the process, answered my questions, and adjusted the whole thing based on my own experience. At the end he helped me make up a blend and roast it fresh. Honestly, to get 30 minutes of hands-on time, a free coffee, and 1kg of beans… this is incredible value for money!

My wife and kids also had a coffee while they waited. The decaf was exceptionally good, and the staff were so friendly and good with the kids.

An outstanding coffee spot with a real passion for quality. They offer an excellent selection of beans from different regions, and their single origins are always top-notch. Christian, the barista, was incredibly knowledgeable, walking us through the coffee we were having and introducing us to a new batch brew.

When we wanted to buy some beans, the ones we were after weren’t pre-packaged—but instead of turning us away, the senior roaster roasted a fresh batch on the spot and even took the time to show us part of the process. That level of dedication is rare and speaks volumes about their craft.
