Disappointing and overpriced cafe. My grandparents recently purchased a lemon meringue pie for my mother’s birthday from this cafe, which on the website is described as being able to feed 15 people. This is an extreme exaggeration as when I went and picked up the pie it was smaller than my hand (as pictured in photo attached) and could have realistically fed about 8 people at the most, with only extremely small slices each. The pie itself was also extremely thin, which I think they must be aware of because they pile on an excessive amount of meringue to compensate for the tiny amount of pie you actually receive. Now comes the worst of it- the price. The pie costed my grandparents $55 dollars, for a tiny dessert that again could barely feed 8 people. My grandparents were shocked at the size and felt taken advantage of as they’ve never heard of a bakery who would charge that much for something so small, especially when the product wasn’t worth close to the price, and tasted extremely average. I had only been in this cafe once before and was simply looking at the desserts they had on display, when one of the waitresses asked me “did you need something” with quite the attitude, and gave me a rude look, which shows me that this place obviously doesn’t care about their customer service also. Due to the total disappointment of my grandparents they were forced to go and purchase some small cakes for a different bakery to actually feed the 8 guests that were attending the birthday, as the pie wasn’t enough to...

I had a horrible service this morning when i went in to buy a birthday cake for my birthday. I just wanted to purchase a cake, because i bought a few times before here and liked it. The guy at the register was impatient when I tried to get his attention and asked the price of cake and the birthday wish plaque. I still decided to get it. He put the cake into the box after i paid for it and said "that is it" to me, indicating me to leave. How was i supposed to carry the big uncovered box with a kid in my arm already? After i requested a plastic bag he did it unwillingfully. Then I remembered that I forgot to ask for paper plates and folks, which make him rude beyond belief by giving me bad attitude and telling me there was nothing complimentary except the plaque. Excuse me, what kind of cake shop does not offer paper plates and cutlery? How do you expect to eat it if not at home? I was holding my daughter with my hand so I did not want to tell him what he was doing was wrong and unfair, but again as a customer (regular for coffees and sometimes brunch, the staff were quite friendly everytime we went)what i have experienced was unacceptable and make me never gonna come back to...

This was my first and last time I will be visiting this cafe. Staff are more interested in socialising with the regulars rather then just serve paying customers. They have bad attitudes & are very rude when you tell them the order is wrong. They walk off from you & pretend not to see or hear you when you try & call them over. To finish off my experience I found a hair in my sandwich, I noticed the owner walking around so I called him over to tell him what I had discovered. His response was "Oh it happens, will make you another one". Shrugged it off like it was no big deal. I declined and was then told it would be taken off the bill which it was. I thought his response as a owner was disgraceful. If the owner has this bad attitude then don't expect the staff to be much better. How this place is always busy is beyond me.

The owner offered a complimentary coffee not dessert as he comments below. And yes these things can happen so that's when expect staff & especially the owner to be apologetic but from his attitude it seems this must happen alot so nothing new for him to be...

I drive past this place and saw it was almost at capacity this morning, i decided to stop in with the family for breakfast. The service was warm and welcoming, we were seating immediately and our drinks came out straight away. Breakfast options were fantastic the usual suspects as well as a great specials menu. I had the chilli scrambled eggs that was a fusion of so many different flavours. Presentation was fantastic and considering how busy the place was we didn’t have to wait too long before the food came out, portions were perfect and the in house selection of pastries and gelato made a great takeaway snack that i couldn’t resist. We even had the pleasure of meeting the gentleman who has run the place for the last 20 plus years. Do yourself a favour and drop into this lovely corner positioned cafe.

Gelato is amazing at this place and I would highly recommend . Customers are giving feedback to help you, please understand. Really nice staff who was trying to help me when I couldn’t drink my green juice but the manager spoke really rudely. And when I am genuinely asking that may be it’s because of the proportion of greens to apple, he’s like this is how we make always with very rude tone . Sorry guys but there’s lots of cafe that serve green juice which is made of leaves and I make myself too. Your recipe really doesn’t taste like something drinkable. Thanks for wasting my 9$ on that which I had to leave behind.
