The Ditto Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

Ditto Cafe is a popular cafe chain that serves classic breakfast and lunch dishes, as well as artisanal coffee made from carefully sourced beans. During my recent visit, I had a mixed experience that left me feeling somewhat ambivalent about the establishment.

First and foremost, the food at Ditto Cafe is generally good. I ordered the kransky breakfast, which is one of their signature dishes. While the dish was tasty, unfortunately, my order was incorrect, and I received a sausage instead of the kransky I had requested. Moreover, the presentation on the plate was messy, which detracted from the overall dining experience. That being said, the rest of the breakfast was enjoyable, with the eggs cooked to perfection, and the side of avocado adding a fresh and healthy touch to the meal.

When it comes to coffee, Ditto Cafe certainly knows what they are doing. The coffee is artisanal, and the beans are carefully sourced, which results in a rich and flavorful cup of joe. However, there are times when the coffee can be inconsistent, and during my visit, it was hit or miss. While I had some good cups of coffee, there were also a few that were underwhelming, and this was a bit disappointing given the cafe's reputation for high-quality coffee.

In terms of the atmosphere, Ditto Cafe is a pleasant place to spend some time. The decor is trendy and modern, and the cafe is spacious enough to accommodate a crowd without feeling crowded. The service was also friendly, and the staff was attentive to our needs. However, the noise level can be a bit high, especially during peak hours, which may be a drawback for those seeking a more peaceful dining experience.

Another area where Ditto Cafe could improve is their attention to detail. While the food is generally good, the errors in my order and the messy presentation on the plate suggest a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen. Additionally, the inconsistency of the coffee suggests that there may be room for improvement in the cafe's quality control procedures.

In summary, I would rate Ditto Cafe as a 3-star establishment. While there are some positives, such as the pleasant atmosphere and the tasty food, there are also some areas that could be improved, such as the attention to detail in the kitchen and the consistency of the coffee. I first visited this cafe in 2018 and since then its became a go to place for me every Saturday morning. It became a ritual for me to start unwinding over the weekend.

Everything about this place is just perfect. Its got a great view, you can sit by the window when the early morning sun hits your or you can watch the rain and have your breakfast.

They may have changed the name (formerly 'Caffe Cherry Beans') but the staff are still the same warm, smiling ladies as before. Courteous and friendly, they make me feel right at home.
