We had a very disappointing experience at this café. From the moment we arrived, we didn’t feel welcome — no staff greeted us or assisted with seating.
After waiting for some time, we were finally seated and had decided on our order, but no one came to take it. When I went to the counter to order, a waitress stopped me and said she could take our order at the table, so I returned to my seat. However, she never came back and instead served drinks to other tables. Eventually, I had to go to the cashier myself, yet staff continued to walk past without acknowledging me.
I specifically visited for the puppy foam art on a hot matcha latte, only to be told it was now available only on a regular latte. Since I don’t drink coffee, I had to change my husband’s iced long black to an iced latte just to have the foam art, and I was charged extra for it. To make matters worse, they initially served me a regular drink without the art and acted as if I had made the mistake.
The most concerning issue was the food. The octopus in my seafood pasta was completely raw and inedible. When I pointed this out, I requested properly cooked octopus as a replacement, but it was truly unacceptable that raw seafood was served in the first place. Unfortunately, I experienced food poisoning later that night.
Overall, the service was inattentive, the ordering process was frustrating, and the food quality was unacceptable. I hope the café takes these issues seriously and makes improvements to both service and food...

I’ve visited this café four times now, and while the overall food quality is above average, the experience has been inconsistent. The coffee is great, and I love the cute handmade cups they use, but the service and attention to detail leave much to be desired.
On my first visit, it was a busy weekend with a long queue, and we waited around 40 minutes to get in. Many people were there for the signature blueberry bagels with homemade cream and jam, but unfortunately, they were sold out by the time we ordered. Without informing us in advance, the staff replaced the blueberry bagels with wholemeal ones. After such a long wait, it was quite disappointing. However, to their credit, they did offer us two free babycinos as a kind gesture, which was appreciated.
The next two visits went smoothly, with the blueberry bagels available and delicious. But on my fourth visit, I ordered the same blueberry bagel, only to find it came without any cream cheese inside. I’d much rather be told an item is unavailable than receive something that doesn't meet the usual standard.
Lastly, the staff at the front didn’t seem particularly welcoming—no smiles or engagement—which dampened the atmosphere. This café has great potential, but the inconsistent quality and lack of customer service are...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing little cafe in Alexandria. Went there with the family on a coldish day, so essential to get a table inside which luckily we did. I had the 6am burger which was fairly simple, but tasty nonetheless - bacon, two fried eggs, baby spinach, jack cheese on a brioche bun. My partner had the breakfast burrito which she loved - scrambled eggs, hash brown, sriracha mayonnaise cheese and halloumi in a wrap. Again simple but tasty. Another person had corn fritters - corn fritters with zucchini, spinach, poached egg and avocado with a side of beetroot hummus. That was amazing. Someone else had the old standard smashed avocado, sourdough and scrambled eggs. Kids had scrambled eggs and sourdough, which they enjoyed. I also had a drink called “the dose” which was milk, ice, double shot and topped with house made cream with a cute cat face. This drink was next level great, so yum.
Definitely highly recommended and will also definitely return, and hopefully get...
