I usually go here for the peaches and cream crepes which are usually amazing. I will speak on experience based on two different occasions. On the first occasion I asked for ice cream instead of the whipped cream that comes with the peaches and cream crepes. I was instead given ice cream on the side and didn’t say anything because I thought maybe that’s how they serve it. I was however charged for a separate ice cream dish which is higher in price. I explained to the cashier that I ordered ice cream to replace the whipped cream and not a separate ice cream dish. She very reluctantly (like I wasn’t right) changed the charge to the swapped ice cream and with a frown that made me feel uncomfortable. On the second occasion, we had ordered only 3 dishes and were only contemplating a 4th but decided not to go with it and explained that we would order drinks instead of that dish (chocolate mousse). The waitress did not listen properly and gave us 4 dishes (the waitress was helping us decide and was there the whole time). On the same occasion, the peaches and cream had a hair in it and hence we were not comfortable eating it. We privately made the waitress know and said we would no longer like it ordered as it would be too late and we would finish our desserts. However she forced us to have it made it again and take it take away. It was still on the bill as well, by then we didn’t even want to eat anything anymore. We know mistakes happen, but the least she could have done was listen when I told her “don’t worry about it don’t remake it,” and her just say “no no habib of course not.” I didn’t even get a say or get a choice even after I told her I didn’t want it anymore. A little sad because I really liked the ambience of this place and just think the staff could be nicer, more attentive, and of better service. I specifically think that a dish that had a hair in it should not be on the bill. Not to mention, the repetitive mistakes, which I don’t know if are intentional or unintentional.
I do have to make note that the restaurant didn’t have any other customers, and the same lady that took my order was the one who brought out the entirely wrong dish that I specifically said I didn’t want, she still brought it out and we still paid for it. No issue, but come on, all of this in the span of 20 minutes, it’s not...

Read moreI've waited 20 years for a dessert restaurant to open in the Inner West, so I couldn't be more happy.
I was scratching on the windows weeks before opening so I got to know the owners before they opened. It's an honest to goodness, family run business with mum as the cook and her three gorgeous daughters running front of shop.
The atmosphere is stylish, a little indulgent and surprisingly quite quiet, perfect for meet-ups with the girls, romantic dates or for a little something after catching a show at the Enmore Theatre.
The menu is varied, which is far from what you get at the chocolate dessert bars. It has everything from rich chocolate or caramel desserts or fruit-based desserts, down to more healthy and light vegan options. There are about 22 dishes to choose from and they were more than happy to make to my dietary requirements. They also take feedback seriously and ware always open to new ideas.
My husband and I ordered a dessert each. I had the 'Orange Panties', which was a mini carrot cake, soft on the inside and crunchy and caramelised on the outside. It was plated with cranberry compote, caramelised carrot, candied walnuts and caramel ice-cream which gave the perfect balance of textures.
My husband had the 'It's a physical thing' which was coconut and pistachio Knefeh, with orange blossom, dried sweet and sour cherries, candied rhubarb and fresh strawberries. It was new to me and totally delicious. It reminded me of the soft part of the pavlova, but was made with coconut milk, sugar and cornflour.
With such delicious food and lovely staff, I'll be a regular. I wholeheartedly support local business, especially one that has put their heart and soul into it like they have. Welcome to the...
