The front area is always packed as they have hardly any seating room, just some tall tables and bar stools around the place for people who get there early before a show (fair enough I suppose). The performances are hit and miss although for the most part are engaging and the sound/acoustics are very well done in that space. Overall would recommend checking it out if you're planning to be in Newtown. They're about half way between St Peter's and Newtown station (10-15 minutes from Sydney CBD). Prices are always ok (not dirt cheap, but never uber expensive) - which is nice in that it attracts a very mixed (uni student/professionals) crowd. Prices are around the $30-50 mark. The performances are fantastic and the actors clearly put their heart and soul into it. Both plays I've seen are the kind that are yes enjoyable at the moment then when it's over can't help discussing what's happened.
