Do not go here Ridiculous, overpriced small portions. Had the mixed platter to start - do not get it, it's barely a nibble, even if you order 2. We looked at the plate in astonishment when it arrived, it was like being in a pretentious french restaurant.

Food was nice, we had 4 different curries and they were all decent, but the portion sizes of bread are tiny and overpriced, even a basic naan is overpriced. After spending over $140, they still charged for takeaway containers...which is fine but kinda pathetic and sad.

Overall, a very underwhelming experience. The location, food and service doesn't account for the prices on that menu. There are places in the city and North Sydney area that provide better value. Save your money.

Edit to reply to owner: Hi, the owner apparently cannot take criticism and is extremely defensive and presumptuous. Please learn how to respond to customers, you reply like someone incapable of running a business. Banquet was not mentioned in our review and we did not mind it at all. Don't know why it was mentioned but okay...?

Your ridiculous entree (x2) was altogether $30... $30 buys a large pizza AT A RESTAURANT that fills 2-3 people as a MEAL! Your entree could not even fill one person! It was a nibble! Stop being so defensive when we're just pointing the truth.

And the 'naan' bag he mentions is a plastic bag. No where in the 100s of restaurants we have been to, do they charge for takeaway containers, so don't act like you're so generous.

Also, why would we waste the food when we paid $150 for it? Reason we gave a bad review is because the quality AND LOCATION does not match the price. You are NOT in the city or north syndey, you're in a carpark in a lot with no view or foot traffic. Prices reflect that, other places in that area are far better for this reason. Please learn to take criticism and...

My first and last visit to this establishment. The food was delicious but it was drowned in bowls of sauce and one had to fish out the food to eat. Chefs plz provide substance to your meals, we like to eat not drink our dinner. The most disappointing aspect was that we were one of the first to arrive and the last to be served . If we were one of the first there then one would expect our food to arrive in the same order. However other patrons that arrived after us were treated to their dinner first. Our dinner arrived two hours late and we were preparing to leave the restaurant and go to the Asian restaurant next door for dinner when our dinner arrived after my husband advised them that they had 10 mins to redeem themselves. We had a table 12 for dinner. I asked for hot water 5 times before receiving it. The grand finale was at the checkout. And Yes we understand that it’s difficult to break up the receipts but we were 4 family groups and so it would’ve been fairly simple. We are from QLD and so we wanted to pay for our meals and leave, but thankfully the cashier relented and we were able to finally settle our bill . Definite no no to this restaurant . If you want to enjoy a great meal go someplace where you will get a decent meal and not heaps of gravy and be prepared to wait a long time to have food...

A mediocre restaurant set in a car park in an industrial area. The staff lied saying a dish was 'all vegan'. But when it arrived, one of the items wasn't: setting the food down at my table the waiter said it was the only one that wasn't vegan. But when i ordered, he said it was 'all vegan'. So he lied. And like many restaurants this place is overpriced, overrated and mediocre. I reckon some of the reviews are written by the friends and family of the business. If the good reviews aren't written by people connected to the restaurant, then those reviewers lack judgement, insight and taste (easily pleased and indiscriminate). My response to the owner: i didn't complain. But had my receipt from Thornleigh Curry House sitting on my desk with the idea in mind to write a review of your restaurant, but didn't get round to it until approx. 2 months later (the incident occurred on Saturday night, 5th Dec 2020). But i wrote my review in around...

Loved it! Haven't had a decent Indian curry in quite a few years and had an opportunity to try a few during a long drive home. Freshly prepared naan [garlic & cheese], balti beef so good it fell apart, chicken tikka masala full of fresh capsicum and onion, and one of the best butter chicken curry to date complete with burnt ends. The strawberry lassi was also quite morish served along side tandoori prawns. Price was a bit steep but considering the brilliant service, prompt delivery of food, quality and freshness it was well worth it. Cosy restaurant, restrooms available, child friendly. Will have to make it a date night staple.

Coming home from Canberra and didn't want the usual fast food stop in. I've seen this place alot on my commute and thought to myself , I have to try it one day. Well after a long while I tried it out and I'm questioning why I haven't sooner. Cozy & intimate setting, wait staff cheery and eager to please. The food! Tandoori prawn & the strawberry lassi was a step outside the comfort zone and both were amazing! Butter chicken was top notch as well as the tikka masala & balti beef. Tasty & fresh garlic and the cheese naans we had also. I'll definitely be returning, and some of the best indian I have ever had.

We have not dined at the Curry House in Thornleigh for many years but after our recent visit it will not be long before we return. The food was wonderful and the service very good. We had Salt & Pepper Cauliflower Bites and Tandoori Prawns for our entrees. Our mains were Madras Chicken(just the right amount of heat) and Lamb Saagwala. Both very good and very generous servings. In fact, we could not eat it all. The Garlic Naan was simply the best. It was light with just the right amount of char, garlic and coriander.
