The staff whom I interacted with at this venue were very friendly, efficient, and had great product knowledge. I was greeted the moment I stepped into the cafe, and quickly shown to table. When I was asked what I wanted to order, I asked what could be prepared quickly. Various wraps were suggested, I opted for a ham wrap. I also ordered a small flat-white coffee and a chocolate brownie.

While I waited for my meal, I took a moment to admire the interior decor of what I assumed was once a warehouse of some sort. I didn't have too long to take in the ambience before my meal was placed on my table. The coffee was hot and strong, very enjoyable. The choc brownie was, well, very chocolatey and delicious. The ham wrap, which had been toasted, was quite fresh and delicious, with some enjoying flavours. A very satisfying meal, prepared in a hurry !...

Perhaps I did not order the right things at Toast, or perhaps it was just one of those days. Whichever the case, my impressions of Toast were not that great. Yes, service was on par with a good cafe's, but I couldn't help but notice that the food is quite...bland? Uninspired? I'm not sure what the word is actually. In any case, I was not wowed by their porridge, nor their egg & salmon omelette.

Some cafes have signature dishes that makes them renowned, and for Toast, that seems to be their baked eggs. This however doesn't mean that the level of quality shouldn't carry across to everything on the menu. Consistency is key, and its lack is very damning indeed.

Though I rated it 2 stars "dislike", I am more than open to trying out Toast again, but with so little time, who knows when that...

I went to Toast for lunch today. I had a linguine dish with prawns, chilli, garlic, lemon, capers and zucchini, which was delicious. One friend I was with had the wagyu burger and gave it rave reviews. The other had the Thai beef salad which was exceptionally dry. She asked for some more dressing and was initial told that was probably not possible, but was eventually brought a tiny dish of dressing - probably about 1-2 tablespoons, for a really big salad that seemed to not have any dressing on it to begin with. That aside, the food was otherwise delicious and the service was pretty good. Very reasonably priced. I like the flowers and plants inside - very cool. I would...

A Hidden Gem in Surry Hills! If you’re in Surry Hills, this cafe is an absolute must visit. The coffee here is hands down the best in the area – rich, smooth, and expertly brewed every time. I love Campos! It’s the kind of cup that makes you want to come back daily. And don’t even get me started on the soup, i ordered the Ham and peas soup it comes with couple slices of garlic bread ,it’s pure comfort in a bowl. Warm, hearty, and full of flavour, it’s the perfect pick-me-up on winter. Friendly vibes, great food, and top-tier coffee – this spot has it all. Highly recommend!

We went to Toast Cafe with the expectation of just having a bite to eat - that was certainly an underestimation! What we experienced was a culinary enlightenment. The combination of folded egg and bacon, in a sarnie, with a hash brown, and spicy mayo! Wow! However, ‘it takes a village’, and the front of house was no exception. Jack was charming and his bubbly jokes were the real highlight. With his speedy service and trusty order memory, he really is an asset to Toast Cafe. It is a must in Sydney.
