The park features open lawns, tree-lined pathways, and seating areas, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and leisure. It serves as an off-leash area for dogs at all times, providing a popular venue for pet owners. Harmony Park's history dates back to the Brisbane Street slum clearance of 1924. After decades of neglect and use as a car park, the site was redeveloped into the current park, offering a green retreat amidst the urban environment. In February 2024, the park was temporarily closed due to the discovery of friable asbestos in garden bed mulch. Authorities took necessary precautions to ensure public safety during the remediation process. Harmony Park remains a cherished space for both locals and visitors, providing a peaceful environment for relaxation and community engagement in the heart of Sydney.

This Surry Hills park is a lovely spot for people and dogs. It is known as the dog park in the local area and a great place with a dog or meet dogs!
