One unforgettable experience! 🌸✨

Arrived there just after 11am, it said open but the door was locked and nobody didn’t seem to be there. I then called the phone listed on Google and the lady answered my call and said that they would be there in 2 mins.

When she arrived, she gave me a warm welcome and told me to check the menu and have a seat while she tried to set up at the kitchen. There were also another two people came in at the same time as me which appeared to be regulars.

The place looked very homey and surprisingly they only have 3 main menus: Phở, Bún and Cởm which you can choose the toppings.

Because it was windy and cold, I had Phở with lemongrass tofu. While waiting for the food, the lady gave me some traditional tea to enjoy. 🍵💕

When the phở arrived, it didn’t look like any typical phở I know. They used rice vermicelli noodles instead the wide rice noodles. The soup was very refreshing loaded with tofu which was very tasty, lettuce and mince gingers on top. It tasted like the real homemade comfort food made with love by your grandma. 🫶🏼🥹

When I asked for some chili, they said they don’t have chili only ginger to keep your body warm. They also don’t use onion and garlic and the provided soy sauce on each table.

After finished eating and was going to pay, the lady held me and gave me some apples to eat for desert. Before paying, she also gave me some rice crackers for free which I saw them giving it away to the other people!

The chef also went out to see me at the cashier. Because he couldn’t speak English, the lady helped translating the conversation. He gave me some nice advice about my work and life in general which I really didn’t expect it!! He said I can come and visit him anytime another for more wisdoms. I told them that I don’t live in Sydney but will definitely visit them again when I come back and he gave me another apple for the road. They are just so humble and very kind which rare to find nowadays!! 🥹💕

If you want some REAL hospitality experience, make sure you visit...

I can see why this can become a favourite store. The Best prices in Australia, max main price $10 like srsly Wow!

And it's vegetarian, and all the ingredients are so Fresh, healthy and delicious. You could eat this everyday for lunch or dinner and feel great, no need to cook at home now!!

The lady is just so lovely and kind. I just arrived to Sydney to visit my mum so she gave me a free side of greens AND complimentary spring rolls like whaaaaaaat to take home to give to my mum. I wanted to try as much as I could and it only came to $20. I wanted to pay more but she wouldn't let me!

I will definitely be back to try the pho.

Corn fritters 5/5 🌽 - really delicious a bit too oily for me though so share with a friend

Coconut water 3/5 - too much ice I couldn't get the coconut meat 🥥 😅

Rice veg and lemongrass tofu 10/10 🥦 - wow the lemongrass tofu was the best I have ever had, legit. Such a simple dish but so tasty. I felt like the stir fry veg was a bit plain though but if you eat it with the tofu or chilli it's good.

Cabbage salad 5/5 - so light and healthy but delicious, ate it all at once and damn with the corn fritters a great tofu.

Salad greens 4/5 - I was expecting stir fry leafy green vegetables like gai Lan as it said greens so might be better to change the name to lettuce salad or something 😅

Spring rolls 5/5 - man I didn't even pay for these, and they were great!

You have to come to this store, you will just feel replenished and refreshed as a human. Not many restaurants are so friendly and personable and give you beautiful smiles. This place is so peaceful and has a simple and relaxing vibe in the middle of...

Hạnh Phúc Vegan 242 Elizabeth St Surry Hills. (Note entrance is on Albion St.)

Once you step inside and are greeted with genuine warmth, you know you're in for a treat.

Despite the sign when you enter, No Chili, No Garlic, No Dairy, No Onion (which might deter some), the dishes here are bursting with delicious flavors that even non-vegans like me can appreciate. Some options are also gluten-free.

The star of the show is undoubtedly the Pho, available in various varieties, each one a delight. You won't be disappointed. The spring rolls and salads equally impressive.

What sets Hạnh Phúc apart is not just the food, but the genuine hospitality extended by the owner. From the moment you walk in, you're made to feel like family, and this warmth carries through to every aspect of your dining experience. The owner's kindness knows no bounds, and ensure you leave with a smile on your face.

Despite the high quality of the food and service, the prices at Hạnh Phúc Vegan are surprisingly affordable, making it accessible to all. In fact, the owner's generosity often extends to throwing in a little something extra with your meal, ensuring that you feel valued as a customer.

One aspect worth noting, go to the bathroom. It may seem like an odd inclusion in a review but trust me when I say it's a “Cu Chi” tunnel experience.

You will leave with a full stomach, a happy heart, and a newfound appreciation for the joys of...
