True Brew Cafe 灶咖 — Restaurant in Sydney

A nice quiet café in the heart of Campsie.

My friend found this little cute café, as she googled search some nice cafés as we planned a day out at Campsie.

We first went to eat at a Japanese restaurant then we went for a walk to burn off some calories! Then we walked into this cafe for some more nom noms, we love eating! It’s what we do regularly 😄😜

This cute little café was very clean, and the service was very accommodating. We checked in, and we ordered our food and sat down.

I ordered the iced rose latte (taste similar to a mocha except strong on the coffee side) with my soy milk of course! It was very yummy, but so heavy I couldn’t finish it! Highly recommend this beverage for a very hot day!!! Oh, yes the day we went was so hot!!! This helped me cool down ❄️❄️❄️

We also ordered a tiramisu to share. It was very dense, sweet but had no tiramisu flavour in the cake. A little disappointed but still was nice I guess, just not what I expected. I love my tiramisu cake to have a strong bitter espresso taste, but it lacked the flavouring of the coffee bitter taste, more like a sweet cake (can’t explain the taste, but it was very weak in taste) we may try a different cake next time!

But the service was lovely, the food on the menu look appetizing! I will try something else next time.

But I am happy to try new cafés and new surroundings! That what us foodies do 😎

Updated Feb2025 I think they have changed the owner. The Taiwanese braised pork over rice tastes completely different. The pork is not juicy at all (quite dry) and the portion is at least a 1/4 less. The soy sauce doesn't have chilli anymore. Sighs ... Sad 😢

Updated Had lunch and ordered the Kenny's Special sandwich it was quite yummy! But note from my menu pics... They don't offer the Combo meals anymore..... You have to order the coffee separately :(

OMG I found a cafe in Campsie they not only have cafe foods but they also serve Taiwanese food! I tried their bacon & egg roll - standard, Taiwanese salted crispy chicken snack 台灣鹽酥雞 - very yum, and a Taiwanese braised pork rice 台式滷肉飯. See pic of rice looks plain BUT it's very rich with lean & fatty pork! Very stoked I found this place. They also do deliveries on UberEATS! If you crave for some Taiwanese food and or The Grounds...

We tried to eat on this cafe and enjoyed our stay here. my reviews as follows: service - 5/5 (top service!) staff is very nice and greeted us with a smile food - brisket with rice (a bit salty but with the sauce provided its a lot better) 8/10 burger with chips (burger 3/10 sadly not even good at all, dry and lacks sauce to taste like a real burger) (Chips is great tho 8/10 for chips.)
