Seriously good food options. Admittedly on the pricey side for what you get, this hipster cafe was very busy when we went. Warning for those with a group of 6 or more, I imagine getting seating would be near impossible. Prices range from around $9-35 for breakfast. They have some lovely vegan and gluten free options. The menu although not extensive has a nice short list of wholesome food. There were 2 wait staff helping take orders when we were there. The man was snobby and seemed to look down on anyone not in the hipster/affluent scene, while the blonde woman was lovely, approachable and down to earth. The food was typical for the stuff you'd get in the suburb of Newtown but at higher prices. Would still recommend for a nice bite to eat with a friend or two if loud stuffy places don't bother you. If you're after a quiet cafe then i don't think this...

They make their own pressed juices, smoothies and keffir (probiotic drink) and have array of breakfast options. Everything, even the chocolate they sell at the counter is made on the premiss behind the cafe. The staff are very accommodating and will talk you through the menu. I went for the smashed avocado on their homemade gluten free toast and my friend went for the curried eggs. Both were tasty dishes but the flavour combination wasn't 100% right. It's only new so i'm sure they are working through a few teething issues. I'm definitely going to go back and try it for lunch, the salads...
Read moreI have been to this little gem of a Cafe a couple of times now and I keep coming back. The menu is just too convincing and wants to get explored. My favorite so far was their 5 Grain Winter Porridge with Poached Pear which was cooked in Pale Ale- something completely new for me and so ridiculously good!! The service is relaxed and always on point and I love the big glass doors which in warm days are all open and let the fresh air flow around, their huge vases with pretty flowers and shelfs full of house made pickles, chutneys, marmalades and other good stuff. I can not recommend the Tuckshop...
