This fabulous heritage listed pub just oozes history and that begs to be respected. Early evening Monday, very quiet, but by about 7pm people started to arrive at this nostalgic watering hole. The food was scrumptious pub grub, the servings are generous and well presented and EXCELLENT VEGETARIAN BURGER as well! The service absolutely fantastic. Felt like we mattered and when our meals arrived the staff asked if we needed any sauces or accompaniments. We indulged in lots of different sauces that were old school YUMMMM The interesting vintage/retro inspired artistic interior design really compliments the heritage vibes, so stylish with rustic charm. Highly recommend ~ ohhh and there is a rooftop bar that wasn’t open on the Monday night, but I’m told the views are sublime. FIVE STARS

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a fantastic experience at the rooftop of Quarryman’s Hotel! The ambience was absolutely delightful, with great views and a cosy atmosphere. The heaters were a huge plus, especially with the chilly weather these days – we stayed warm and comfortable the whole time. We ordered the Korean fried chicken and chicken schnitzel (which came with chips and salad). These dishes were amazing – high quality and absolutely delicious. The jug of Pepsi was perfect for our group of three, allowing each of us to enjoy two glasses. Service was top-notch; our food arrived quickly and was obviously freshly made, given how hot it was. Overall, we loved our time here and highly recommend Quarryman’s Hotel for a great dining experience!

We reserved a rooftop space for some dinner before a nearby concert and the area on top of this historic pub was a great space to enjoy some time with friends and a couple of drinks and dinner. The food was delicious and was quite quick from time of order to table service. It was great to have a bar at the top level as well rather than go downstairs for ordering. The options of drinks was vast and a great cocktail menu - favoured by the girls with us for sure. As we were wrapping up dinner it did begin to rain however we just moved inside to a lounge area that was also very comfortable. The staff were helpful and pleasant as well - great work guys.

THIS is how you do customer service folks! Popped in for a quick pint and a bite whilst doing the hop on hop off yesterday. Really welcomed by the bar man. Sat outside in the coolest of back yards resembling a Budapest ruin bar. Same barman brought us our tacos which were wonderful but then popped back a few minutes later and swapped over my pint, I was happy with it but he insisted it didn’t look how it should. Sure the replacement had a bit more flavour and fizz to it but I hadn’t had cause to complain. It was probably obvious we are tourists and unlikely to ever visit again and they could’ve saved themselves the cost of a fresh pint. But it mattered to this guy regardless and this ladies and gentleman is the difference between a fairly good landlord and an absolute legend. In 40 years of enjoying beer we’ve only ever know 2 other people do this and that’s us two in our little bar in Melksham thousands of miles away! You want a place that cares if you have a decent pint and positive...

Worst customer service I've ever gotten. The Asian lady at the door (behind the bar) has put me off even entering the hotel, before scanning the QR code to register my attendance at the hotel.

I was recharging my phone's credit so I can access the internet on my phone, and did not even take 2 mins before having her shout at me to "scan the QR code before you do anything else on your phone". Once I told her I'm recharging my credit so I can access the internet her response was "I could have done it for you, you should've told me". Her tone was unfriendly, unwelcoming and very rude.

There weren't any people queuing up behind me, I wasn't blocking anyone's way. My reply to that, was "You know what, I changed my mind i don't want to come in here anymore", to which she replied "fine" and rolled her eyes at me.

I don't know who would ever hire someone like that to be at the front of house. Nevermind facing customers. Back of house would be too much for her with...

Visiting Sydney with my partner for a few days, and going to a show just down the road. We looked up places to eat and found Quarryman’s Hotel, which looked like a fantastic rooftop bar/eatery with good reviews and good views. When we arrived, I was surprised to see that there was a bar and places to eat downstairs so I politely asked the bartender downstairs if it was a rooftop restaurant, and he was very rude and passive aggressive to me, making it out as if asking the question was stupid saying “the roof is above us, which is typically how that works” which was extremely off putting. I thought he might have been joking but he stared at me and it really rubbed us the wrong way, so we left immediately. Not everyone is from around here, and asking a simple question shouldn’t be met with rude comments, no matter if they are joking or not. This was a bad start to our night, but we luckily found a nice place down the road, with a nicer...
