THIS is how you do customer service folks! Popped in for a quick pint and a bite whilst doing the hop on hop off yesterday. Really welcomed by the bar man. Sat outside in the coolest of back yards resembling a Budapest ruin bar. Same barman brought us our tacos which were wonderful but then popped back a few minutes later and swapped over my pint, I was happy with it but he insisted it didnât look how it should. Sure the replacement had a bit more flavour and fizz to it but I hadnât had cause to complain. It was probably obvious we are tourists and unlikely to ever visit again and they couldâve saved themselves the cost of a fresh pint. But it mattered to this guy regardless and this ladies and gentleman is the difference between a fairly good landlord and an absolute legend. In 40 years of enjoying beer weâve only ever know 2 other people do this and thatâs us two in our little bar in Melksham thousands of miles away! You want a place that cares if you have a decent pint and positive...
Read moreWorst customer service I've ever gotten. The Asian lady at the door (behind the bar) has put me off even entering the hotel, before scanning the QR code to register my attendance at the hotel.
I was recharging my phone's credit so I can access the internet on my phone, and did not even take 2 mins before having her shout at me to "scan the QR code before you do anything else on your phone". Once I told her I'm recharging my credit so I can access the internet her response was "I could have done it for you, you should've told me". Her tone was unfriendly, unwelcoming and very rude.
There weren't any people queuing up behind me, I wasn't blocking anyone's way. My reply to that, was "You know what, I changed my mind i don't want to come in here anymore", to which she replied "fine" and rolled her eyes at me.
I don't know who would ever hire someone like that to be at the front of house. Nevermind facing customers. Back of house would be too much for her with...
Read moreVisiting Sydney with my partner for a few days, and going to a show just down the road. We looked up places to eat and found Quarrymanâs Hotel, which looked like a fantastic rooftop bar/eatery with good reviews and good views. When we arrived, I was surprised to see that there was a bar and places to eat downstairs so I politely asked the bartender downstairs if it was a rooftop restaurant, and he was very rude and passive aggressive to me, making it out as if asking the question was stupid saying âthe roof is above us, which is typically how that worksâ which was extremely off putting. I thought he might have been joking but he stared at me and it really rubbed us the wrong way, so we left immediately. Not everyone is from around here, and asking a simple question shouldnât be met with rude comments, no matter if they are joking or not. This was a bad start to our night, but we luckily found a nice place down the road, with a nicer...
