No idea to what is implied on "other social media" - I only do Google reviews. You might have had other complaints and think its the same person perhaps. I am not some fake account on a rampage. I am honest and transparent. When a cafe is situated across a train station and next to coles, the demographic wants standard Campos coffees and either ham and cheese toastie for kids or bacon and egg roll. Belgium chocolate is hardly a choice people want on a daily basis. Campos is now a supermarket branded coffee bean so prices that are skyrocketed is somewhat a rort. Also I used to come to this cafe daily to then weekly and had many catch up brunches. So my disappointment in how it is now is high. The last time I did come was November 2023. I was unaware of change of hands in business. To assure you, i have no issue with halal cafes. It was an PSA to let people know as ham and cheese toastie was popular at this cafe esp next to the coles. Perfect for after school. Even as an adult they were great. My main complaint is purely on the fact of not having a standard mocha and being overly priced for campos. Many boycotted XS chain for their price increase for a cheap supermarket coffee bean. They're extended hours validates the need for the increase. You're within your rights to charge whatever. So am I within my rights to share my personal experience in a review format. Your intention to offend me saying I wasted my time to leave a review makes no sense as reviews are intended to share real experiences with others. I can't stand fake reviews both fake positive and fake negative. Honesty and transparent reviews is what I do.
... Original review: Several years of buying mochas. Now suddenly they can only make Belgium mochas with a higher price when normal mochas were already too sweet they only offering the more expensive one. Imagine having that daily! Not hard to put a little cocoa mixed in for cappuccino to make it a normal mocha. If liquid chocolate is not viable. When I approached the counter the man told me there was a price difference for dine in versus take away, I then asked about the $9.90 special & was told they donāt do this anymore, I responded with well itās on your social media. The lady came over and rudely spoke and said āwell thatās the marketing teamā I told her this wasnāt my issue and that they need to honour this, I brought up the Instagram post and she responded with āuh Iāll go ask him thenā. When she came back she told me that she would honour it today only and that itās a marketing team mistakeā¦. I explained it wasnāt nice the way she was making me out to be a liar and she kept referring it to the marketing teams fault, instead of just apologising for the way she spoke in the first place.
This place just posted this to get people to walk in and to tell customers that it wasnāt an active promotion in the hope that they would just pay full price.

We were waiting at 8am in front of the door the lady inside saw us waiting there grabbed the keys and decided to go and open the opposite doors, than where the customers were waiting before letting us in.
As we approached the counter we were not greeted with a smile or a good Morning.
Their coffee is nice the location is convenient but The management really need to take a good look at how they treat customers.
I ordered 3 takeaway coffees she just dumped it on the counter next to a stack of paper trays with absolutely no customer engagement, I think I would have had a better response if I was dealing an automated machine. As machines would print or display a simple thank you or a have a nice day...
