Want a truly great Veggie experience? Try this place. On our first visit we thought that the menu was a combination of veggie meals and "meat" meals which seemed a bit odd considering it was advertised as a vegetarian restaurant. But to the uninitiated (like us), when you see things on the menu like Ginger Soy-Duck Salad and Crispy soy-chicken with fresh lime leaf, chilli and lemongrass or Vegetarian lamb chops with mushrooms, bean curd, water chestnuts in a fermented bean curd sauce, you think that it is a meat dish with soy products added. Like I said, we were extreme newbies when it came to vegetarian meals. We found out (on our second visit) that the Duck / Chicken, etc., was made from soy products. But as Hannibal Lecter said, "it tasted just like chicken". We have since been back a couple more times and we try a different meal combination each time. If you do go there, ask for a pot of Chrysanthemum tea. It is delicious. The meals come out quick and hot, and the atmosphere is quite relaxing. Anyway, back to the menu to see what we are going to...
Read moreFrom the moment we stepped into Veggie House, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance is both elegant and inviting, setting the perfect stage for an exceptional meal. The attentive staff greeted us with warm smiles and made sure we felt welcomed throughout our visit.
The menu is a culinary masterpiece, featuring a variety of dishes that are as delightful as they are delicious. We started with the Fried mushrooms, which was bursting with flavour and perfectly presented. For the main course, the Bibimbap rice was out of this world—tender, expertly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The chef's attention to detail is evident in every bite.
In addition to the fantastic food, the service was impeccable. Our server was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about the menu, which made our dining experience all the more enjoyable.
Veggie House is a gem in the culinary scene and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-notch food and service. We’ll definitely be returning soon and recommending it to all...
Read moreWe went yesterday for the Lunar New Year lunch and service was terrible. One of the waitresses has no customer service skills:
There were many empty tables and while the set up were for bigger group, they could rearrange for us to sit at some place pleasant. Instead, she was adamant that theres no option and we have to sit at the end next to the back door to the toilet. When raising about the smell, she disagreed and said it’s not an issue. During our meal, people were coming in and out of the door to go to the toilet and as the door couldn’t be shut (faulty), the smell became quite bad. Other group (same number of diners as us) came after and they were able to rearrange the bigger tables for seating so clearly not an issue for the restaurant.
Overall, better customer service training and hygiene is required. Running a business with such stubbornness and lack of consideration to others is a poor...
