There are 2 Nguyen Bakeries and Both come up So can't leave 2 different reviews This review is for 23 Canly-Vale Road Not the Original Nguyen Bakery That bakery gets 5 stars all the way Unfortunately I have to give 1 star as I actually never got to try the food because of poor customer service, I went there this morning to get Brunch for my family, They were busy so I didn't mind waiting, I got a chocolate milk and put it on the counter, they served a man who was there before me, as you do, At this point I've already made eye contact with all the workers and good works always know who was there first, A lady walks in and stands in front of me, I took a step back as she was looking at the food, When the lady behind the counter had finished serving the customer before me she looked at me and just as i thought i was going to be served That rude lady who just pushed in started talking and she got served before I had been standing in the shop for 3-4 minutes before she even walked in, Shame on her for being rude and just pushing past, but shame on you for not saying Sorry she was here first as decent shop keeps should do, All good if you don't want my money I will spend...

I've had to edit my review on this place due to their standard of service being very unpredictable. Although the rolls can be nice (depending on who fills it), the manner of some of the servers is just appalling. It happened twice in the same day, a lady earlier in the day was very dismissive towards my son who I sent to get us rolls for lunch. Then in the evening when my daughter went to buy some for dinner the man serving was extremely rude and blunt, and the rolls he had left to sell her weren't filled to the standard that they usually give. What made it worse was he was friendly and kind to the customers beside her, which were people of his own culture. So be warned you may not get what you came for from this bakery, which is shame because we want to support our...

Very slow. The people behind the counter took their sweet time making banh mi while holding extensive conversation with customers. They ignored me when another customer decided to take advantage of the social distancing queue and pushed in front of me. Instead, they started another conversation while serving him.

My wait time: over 15 minutes There were only 2 customers in front of me plus the 1 that pushed in.

All I wanted was a few empty bread rolls. When asked in English, she told me the big bread rolls (regular sized ones) were not for sale, only the small ones. At this point, my dad got tired of waiting and negotiated with her for bread (in Vietnamese).

What should have been an in and out transaction turned into a 15 to 20 minute wait for...

This place is so overrated...hygiene practice is very bad as others have reviewed also! I would say their manners are poor as we were served by a very impolite and rude man but was then shocked to witness the same man serve the customers behind us with a friendly manner. Not sure what the hype is over the food but it doesnt compare to other stores in the area. Will never buy from here again...if only google allowed "negative" star reviews this would be -100

Best banh mi in Sydney hands down. Price , variety and quality beats everyone. Crispy pork is my favourite but there is also pork stomach , meatball, chicken and even fish cakes. Most of their customers are viet , so you know they are good . Ambience is not great though with no seating , bird poo infested wall and footpath and homeless drug addict dudes hanging about . Welcome to the south west !

Hidden Gem for Crispy Pork Rolls!! This is my go-to place for pork rolls as they're not stingy with the good stuff either which is why it's a go-to one for many. Not to be confused with the neighbouring Nguyen Hot Bread store but it's the left-hand side bakery for those wondering (facing the store). Definitely go for the pork crackling roll as you would get a generous amount!
