Recently I visited the Village Thai restaurant at Gregory Hills during Special meals hours ( after 11am). I spoke with young male employee and ordered Stir Fry rice, with chicken and cashew nuts ( special price with water or can of juice around $15-$16). He tried to confuse me and offered similar more expensive meal with Fried rice. I repeated and showed him a few times on menu that I want a stir fry rice on special (around $16). He wrote on paper, later bring me plate with rice, chicjen cashew nuts and bottle of water. At the end, he charged and I paid $19. When I asked him, why do I required to pay $19 when I clearly told him that I ordered stir fry rice from the Special menu (which costs not more than $16). He again continue to talking nonsense and upset me for his rude arogant behaviour. I paid $19 and told him and his colleges that I will never again step inside this Village Thai restaurant at Gregory Hills. So ignorant and disrespectfull behaviour. And it is not surprise when many food restaurants closing down. Many restaurants should improve their service, be polite and more respectfull and than they should expect the positive business outcome and profits. These disrespectfull employees do a huge damage to the business reputation, their marketing and...

Review from recent takeaway (via Uber Eats).

I had low expectations from Thai restaurants, and sadly, Village Thai matched it. For transparency, I am Thai.

I felt like pad Thai, and Village Thai was the closes one that I haven't yet tried their food from. Also ordered crispy pork basil stir fry, papaya salad and a serve of sticky rice.

Pork was good, tasty. Sticky rice was good as well, good portion. The huge let down was the papaya salad.

A very lazy way of making it is using jar sauce for seasoning, which is telling, because there no proper crab pieces, no garlic, no snake beans crushed in the salad as usually would be in the salad.

Pad Thai was mediocre. Soggy, how, I was prepared due to the nature of the order (takeaway). Tasted OK, I won't be ordering it again.

Thai restaurants never fail to disappoint me, therefore, I tend to stay...

This was our 5th visit to this amazing Thai Restaurant and it definitely won’t be our last!! Had to put in a review as these guys constantly keep on delivering. Tonight we had their Thai Style Fried Rice, Spring Rolls, Honey Chicken, Massaman (Beef) Curry, BBQ Pork Belly, along with some ice cream for desert. Everything was on point and as always amazing. The customer service was exceptional. We had the lovely waitress asking if everything was ok, if we needed anymore drinks, clearing the table etc.. I told management about our great service, and then to be replied it was her first night was surprising! All in all, ANOTHER memorable evening at Village Thai. Without doubt, this is easily the best Thai (Asian) Restaurant in the West! Keep up the great...

I love coming here for lunch or dinner, and the food is amazing. It's not too far from where I live and the prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. I always order the chicken cashew nut, and it never disappoints! The dessert is great too. I sometimes order a fried icecream afterwards and the filo is always very crunchy. I recommend the caramel sauce if you decide to get it. Entrées are really good too, and I love the satay chicken and coconut prawns. If you're looking for a Thai restaurant in your area with great food and service, this is the place to go.
