🥢 The ultimate destination for Chinese food lovers.
👌 This place isn't just good; it's mind-blowing! If you're a fan of Chinese cuisine, you're in for a treat of a lifetime, and you will come here for the rest of your life. I've come to this place for 20 years (I'm not even joking).
🍽️ What makes this experience even more special is the fact that this restaurant was once known as Kingsford Chinese Restaurant, which had closed down as the previous owner wants to retire.
💔 My heart was broken when it shut its doors. But guess what? It's back, and it's back with a bang, now known as Wewok.
🙌 The moment I heard they had reopened, I couldn't contain my excitement, and let me tell you, the wait was absolutely worth it.
🐔 Shandong Chicken: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't even begin to describe how amazing the Shandong Chicken is here. It's like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The chicken is juicy and tender, and the sauce... oh, the sauce! It's an absolute must-try, and you'll find yourself craving it long after you've left the restaurant.
🦑 Salt and Pepper Calamari: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Salt and Pepper Calamari here is the stuff of dreams. It's tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, and it's everything you could ever want in a calamari dish. The seasoning is spot on, and every bite is a burst of MSG. Seriously, you won't be able to stop eating this and you'll get hooked on MSG for life.
🌱 Long Beans with Belacan: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It sounds simple, but the taste is out of this world. The beans are perfectly cooked by the wok, and that belacan... it's like a flavor bomb! If you're a fan of bold, authentic flavors, you're going to fall in love with this dish.
🐟 Steamed Fish with Broccoli: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The fish comes in a huge chunk and they melt in your mouth, and the broccoli is just right. The soy-based sauce adds a touch of elegance to the dish without overpowering the natural flavors. It's a winner all the way.
🌏 If you're on a quest for the best Chinese food in the world, your journey ends here.
🌆 Get ready for a food adventure like no other! Your taste buds are in for a wild ride, and you'll leave with a belly full of happiness.
🙏 Thank you, Wewok, for coming back into our lives and making it even more delicious! And oh, thank you for renovating this place, it's been...
Read moreDined here for an early lunch. A group of 9 of us. We ordered off the menu where there were plenty of options to choose from.
We did not make a booking in advance but did arrive at 11am when they opened and no issues getting a table fir all of us.
There was no queue to get in but as we arrived early there not any issues or any waiting.
Once seated we were given time to order so no rush which was nice.
We ordered our usual plus extras. Shan Dong Chicken - always recommended you will not find better anywhere else
Salt and Pepper Calamari - always recommended you will not find better anywhere else
Honey King Prawns - way too thick. This sauce ended up solidifying towards the end as it cooled
Peking Spare Ribs - always recommended you will not find better anywhere else
Tofu Hot Pot - always recommended and very good
Combination Chow Mein - always recommended and very good
Salted fish fried rice - always recommended and very good
Sweet and sour pork - same as most places

Entrance was clean and signage as you would normally expect and see from similar descent restaurants in the area.
We ordered quite a number of dishes to make sure we were well fed, and the service was as we always expected very good.
As we ordered a fair few dishes and they all came out quickly which is great.
The experience I had and the food were very very good and much better than the others in the area.
The tables inside were all very clean and ready prepared for us to eat at.
After waiting for our order, we were very happy with our meals to see that everything was well prepared, tasty only thing I'd skip next time is the honey king prawns.
Everything we ordered was generous on portion size and served hot.
Overall, the food was well priced for the quality and quantity we were served.
The service was as you would expect quick, efficient, accurate for us and served as you would expect from a quality restaurant such as...

A portion of chicken in fried rice was still raw. The staff asked us if we preferred a replacement but children had started having it under circumstances that they were hungry at late lunch time and we kept eating it by the portion away in the plate.
We called a staff at reception to see it but there was no sorry but just asked us about our intention to replacement.
After that, one of the chefs with black t-shirt came out for other business and we told him about it but he just saw it without any sorry either and walked away. We pointed it out to the chef as the receptionist didn't seem to report it to the kitchen.
Another parent paid the bill and I heard the restaurant had just discounted $2 for the uncooked chicken portion without saying sorry yet..
I hadn't posted these constructive comments to anywhere else in the past, however I wanted all of the readers about these facts that should be related to both the possibility of food poisoning and minimum manners to customers as a position to serve foods as a professional.
I would like to expect their thinking and reply why they didn't say even 'Sorry' and assumed it could be compensated by the a couple of dollars discount at the payment without showing any apologies... unbelievable and shocked.. with the attitudes...
