There is no way in hell that this restaurant should be rated 4.9 after 70 reviews. I'm pretty sure they remove nearly all of their bad reviews. I guess that's why there are only 70 reviews when this business has been here for quite some time. Whilst the food was edible, it definitely lacked flavour. The fried chicken was dry and full of breading with little meat. My wife also came across a long piece of bone when the chicken was meant to be boneless. We also ordered the 'special' jajangmyeong and there was nothing special about. It was so flavourless you may as well not mix the sauce/toppings with the noodles as it tasted like we were eating plain noodles. Given how the reviews are either fake or they remove all the bad reviews... I wonder how long until this review is removed

Tried Wood Bowl for the first time, and while the experience was decent, some dishes fell a bit short of expectations. The fried rice and black bean noodles had potential but were quite underseasoned, leaving them a little underwhelming in flavour. The fried chicken was on the drier side, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the highlight of the night was definitely the sweet and sour pork—crispy, well-balanced, and packed with flavour. It was easily the best dish we tried. The atmosphere was nice, and the presentation of the dishes was great. With a bit more seasoning and attention to texture, this place could be amazing. Would be open to giving it another try!

Honestly can’t go wrong, food was simple and delicious. The black bean noodles were extremely flavourful alongside the sweet and sour pork which was covered in corn syrup glaze, so unhealthy but so delicious. Also got some form of beef soup which was very umami and had a lot of different toppings. Loved the noodle texture, super bouncy
