Amazing Middle Eastern Breakfast – A Must-Visit!

I recently visited Yum Yum Bakery and was absolutely blown away by the experience. This place offers an amazing range of Middle Eastern breakfast options that are a real treat for anyone looking to enjoy authentic, freshly made dishes. The menu is packed with delicious choices, from traditional savory pastries to sweet treats, and everything is made fresh and to order.

What really stands out is the quality of the food. You can tell everything is prepared with care and attention to detail. The flavors are vibrant, the ingredients are fresh, and every dish feels like it’s been made just for you. Whether you’re a fan of classic favorites or looking to try something new, Yum Yum Bakery has you covered. The variety and authenticity of their Middle Eastern breakfast options are second to none.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to bring friends or family. It’s one of those places where you can easily spend hours chatting over a great meal, enjoying the warmth of the food and the friendly vibe of the bakery.

The only downside, and it's a small one, is that Yum Yum Bakery tends to be quite busy. It’s a popular spot, and the seating area is a bit small for the demand. That said, it’s definitely worth the wait, and you’ll quickly see why people keep coming back.

Overall, Yum Yum Bakery is a hidden gem. The food is fresh, the variety is amazing, and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed breakfast with loved ones. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves great food and a cozy spot...

I don't recommend this place at all * We have tried hard to love this place coming after a horrible experience the first time.

The first time we came here we watched friends of the owners arrive after us, get given food for free and preferential service. Getting their food right away hugging and kissing people and being refused payment. Whilst we waited.

We also had the restaurant burn our breads no less than three times in a row blowing out wait time to well over an hour and a half. We had the food and it was ok when they finally got their act together, but it wasn't much different than any other place like this.

We drove here for a second time- 16th June - (40 mins) All the tables outside looked freezing and people were smoking and vaping so we didn't want to eat there. It was also freezing with no gas heaters or sun.

Inside the line was as long as the length of the restaurant and not one single table had any food on it. Which meant nobody was getting food.

We waited 15 mins in the line as we watched doordash after doordash order get pushed out.

We ended up giving up. We've tried so hard to come here and have an experience but in all honesty this place sucks. From service to price. The place is busy but I don't see why it is other than people liking busy places.

Never coming back. Especially seeing 3 other people walk out in the queue having a bad experience as well.

Hoping people see this as an honest review besides all of the 1-2 review fake looking profiles giving this...

Had read the review in Good Food so decided to try it out with my two sons. We got there about 11.30am on Sunday and it was full. We put our name on a waiting list at the back of the cafe. There were about 5 tables ahead of us and were told that the wait would be about 40 minutes. We weren't in a hurry so we waited. We were seated in about 45 minutes. Food took about another 40 minutes. ( We hadn't realised that it was counter service only so sat for about 10 minutes after we sat at the table before we realised that we had to order at the counter at the back).

We ordered the Lebanese Breakfast (which comes with the bread in the second photo), the Shawarma tacos and Awarma and egg pizza. Had wanted to try the cheese spring rolls but they had sold out. All the plates we ordered were flavoursome and very well presented. Coffee was great. (Order coffees separately from the Barista at the front of the cafe).

The place has a real buzz and the music great also. Staff were pleasant and friendly. The place is hugely popular at the moment (they were pumping out takeaway orders the whole time we were there) so be prepared for a bit of a wait. (or arrive after about 1pm when it started to get less busy).

Busy place for the locals, so you can tell it’s popular for its food. The cafe itself isn’t huge, but can fit a decent amount of people. You may have to share the table with someone else if you come in a small group. The service is decent - nothing to rave about. Food comes relatively fast. The serving sizes are pretty significant and food is good and hearty. Just keep in mind that there’s no table water here - if you are thirsty, you’ll need to buy a drink. Also, the food can get a bit messy - there are serviettes and a sink to clean up, but probably not a good idea to come here wearing something super nice! Would recommend for when you feel like a good hearty feed. Also, we were recommended the halloumi spring rolls (nice if you like cheese- good crunchy outer shell with soft, stringy cheese), the lamb tacos (had a whole load of different ingredients, creating a burst of flavours in your mouth), and the egg and lamb(?) dish.

The awarma and egg manoush is the star of the menu - well-seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth lamb confit plus a perfectly cooked egg paired with the crunch of the manoush. The lamb tacos were lovely. They’re in a pita-type bread rather than a tortilla, but the bread seems to have been lightly fried. Think somewhere in between a gyros and a birria taco. Crispy, delicious lamb, and I love seeing pomegranate arils in savoury dishes. We also got the vegetable and sujuk sausage manoush - excellent, but the tacos and the awarma manoush are just exceptional. Bonus points for the great long black.
