Tanunda Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Tanunda

So I wanna be nice here... But struggling to find positives.

This bakery is far too busy and seemingly not prepared for it.

Arrived at 1ish pm. F all hot food in the warmer. Long queue of people waiting. Ordered what we could for the fam out of the warmer (none of it was amazing if you ask me) but also ordered a ham and cheese croissant.

After 5 mins and getting the vibe after poor unhappy service and the chaos of ordering I had a suspiscion the croissant had been forgotten.

Whilst I understand a premade croissant with ham and cheese is an exceptionally delicated and complicated meal to heat up... It was felt at 10 mins that something was up.

Finally went and asked... Wouldnt you know it?! Shock!!! It hadnt even been started as it was forgotten. They apologised and brought it out shortly.

However, between unfriendly service, a lack of food at LUNCH TIME, rather long queues and a lack of seating - all up it leaves you feeling kinda stressed.

Not great, overrated -...

Bit of a poor experience at the bakery today My partner and I decided to get some rolls for lunch, I had gotten the smoked salmon roll. I had a few bites into it and noticed a bug. We looked through the roll and found another. We informed the staff and exchanged it for a new one, we checked this roll first but as I was eating it I found another larger bug. At this point we had lost our appetite and when we informed the staff we were told the bug was dry. This felt as though we were being accused of planting the bug ourself. After a refund was requested we were informed that they do not offer refunds and we were offered another item in exchange. We reluctantly accepted a cake and left. I felt this was a poor attempt to rectify the situation, leaving it as a negative experience but on a possitive note the staff who served us were friendly. Total bill was $57.30.Fetta and Spinach pizza. Random weird pieces of fetta, 3 baby spinach leaves, several pieces of capsicum and same with onion. 6 inches across. Price $8.50. Not sure how this can be called a pizza. Pepperoni pizza,same size, with 3 pieces of pepperoni, 2 pieces of capsicum and cheese. $8.50 Really🙄Also had a spinach and fetta quiche. The same ingredients whacked in the quiche and it wasn't even set properly. I'm upset with myself that I didn't take a photo of the quiche. $6.50. Egg and bacon roll. Small, edible but at a cost of $9.70 rip OFF. Chunky beef pie was ok. $6.50. Cheese Kransky. Very thick dry pastry and the kransky was not nice. Again $6.50. The only decent thing's were Cream Apple turnover and chocolate eclair. $6.50 each. But seriously spending that amount of money and well below average food and would definately NOT recommend this bakery and will not be a...
