Very good pies. Th scallop pie is one of the best I've had. The pastry is so good and I don't think tou could fit anymore scallops in there if you tried. My duaghter had the beef monce poe and she loved it. I also grabbed a chunky pepper steak and that was awesome too (forgot to take a photo, I gobbled it down in the car). The pastry is so good!! Great service, friendly and in inviting.

Loved the vanilla slice. Firm custard and patry, sticky icing. Enjoyed the flat white coffee whilst sitting out the front. Less enjoyed the noise from the traffic, be nice if it was either less of it, or it moved more slowly. Next time we'll ask for our two items to come in the one cardboard tray to reduce waste. All in all, Banjos we enjoy in our visits!

Not the best. Went there at around 5pm and got a cajun chicken pitas and it was horrible. It was like it had been made 3 days before and left to sit - it was dry, tough and chewy. Same with the quiches. Maybe this place is good in the morning when food is fresh but not in the afternoon. Avoid it if possible.

This is my preferred bakery in huonville, there really isnt any quality bakeries or cafes for that matter in this area. The spinach and ricotta rolls are usually my go to. The party pies and sausage rolls really dont do it for me, the quality of the meat isnt that great. The plain croissants are also yummy, gotta watch myself! It's strange though that they don't offer just a plain tomato and cheese toastie on the menu, each time I've asked, they have had to remove the ham from a ham, cheese tomato toastie and I wasn't impressed to still be charged for a 3 fill toastie instead of 2 fill. A couple of occasions too I've ordered takeaway drinks and the cup hasn't been filled up properly so again paying for a regular to receive a small or a large to receive a regular? Some of the staff seem super disinterested and indifferent, they do work in customer service but can't even smile or ask how you are, I leave wishing them a wonderful day which then prompts them to reciprocate. There is one super vibrant girl, brunette with lovely big brown eyes that is always polite and engaging, she is the only reason why I still go there from...

Different staff every time I go in here, and I wish they would train their baristas to adjust the grind for the changing humidity.. why is this so hard for baristas on this island? This is why I have an espresso machine at home- because I always end up disappointed at paying top dollar for a lackadaisical effort. Please realise that you have the power to make, or break someone's entire day with their first cuppa of the day.. make every cup count, because someone is paying $6.50 for it, and it is totally worth getting it right. I can tell you it was bitter, and well overdrawn.. probably on a button pour, and I felt ripped off when I couldn't stand another mouthful, got home and tipped it down the sink, and realised that was almost all of the coffee!! It's real bad when you have to skull a glass of milk to get the taste out of your mouth. Train your baristas...

WOW...I love BANJOS all over Tas, Im local to Huonville now and have never experienced a negative visit till today. Customer service is number one to me. Get rid of the over loud, unhappy coffee maker, on 1230pm Monday 18th March, slamming everything down, slamming bin cupboard doors and making my in store experience awful. The other staff where wonderful. I asked if her Monday was the reason for being unhappy. she said " I'm working" . Maybe Management can remind her the customer comes first and deserves pleasant interactions with staff when spending their money. As I say, everyone else where lovely and food great just didn't need to be feeling tension whilst eating and having a coffee... A reminder to her that reviews are serious to a business,...
