The Oyster Hut — Restaurant in Tea Gardens

From the advertising card, I hope to support authentic small local business (rather than big restaurants) and expected a small cosy cafe/seafood restaurant. Turned out just a run down house with fish shop, selling frozen fishes and other 2 choices: fresh oyster $18/dozen & small size pre-cooked prawns $33/kg, which is overpriced in my opinion. After picking up their card on the ferry we had high expectations of a lovely waterside style cafe instead what we got was a run down tin shed. Walking in it was dark & gloomy with an unfriendly woman sitting at a table in the back with 4 cans of fly spray it certainly is not what it implies...
