I wanted to love this place because my cat is also called Luna.
Getting seated was more of a hassle than necessary, I went up to order while my mum looked for a table thinking I would just receive a table number marker like every other cafe, but was told they could not put my order in without a table number. Bit difficult when the tables themselves don't have numbers visibly on them!
I ordered the Luna roll and my mum a ham/cheese croissant. She loved the croissant and had no complaints. We also ordered a cappuccino and a mocha.
I ordered my roll without cheese, because I've never in my life had a bacon/egg roll with cheese on. In hindsight it probably actually needed the cheese, because the relish was quite thick and sharp tasting and the bread was on the drier side - we did not receive our coffees until we were almost finished with our food, disappointed by this as would have liked to enjoy coffee and food together.
We also weren't offered any water for the table as should be standard practice. Additionally we had to ask for napkins as we weren't given any.
Coffee itself was decent but the mocha was served in a latte glass. It should have been served with at least a napkin around the glass in the absence of a normal cup with a handle.
Will chalk this up to busy Saturday morning and let it slide, hoping our next visit to Luna perhaps not on such a busy morning will be better in terms of service and food quality, and I will either try something else on the menu or order the roll with tomato sauce rather...
Read moreCoffee was delicious, food was fine. Although our experience this quiet Monday morning was overall a let down when we were met with a jarringly rude blonde waitress. She was quite passive aggressive in our interactions from the very start, would walk off while we were in the middle of speaking with her, couldn't properly hand me my food, but rather placed it at the corner of the table and tossed the knife and fork down before walking off. Working in customer service myself it's really not that hard to put in some sort of effort at your job and make paying customers feel comfortable at your...
Read moreWe came in for breakfast at lunch time. The menu was not that extensive which I think is a good thing. We ordered fresh juice, thickshake, brekkie tacos and green garlic scrambled eggs with sujuk and avocado. My gosh they were good. I mean really good. And the servings really big. My husband and I shared our meals and decided to take away 1 brekkie taco. Also got a take away cappuccino which was one of the best I've had. So smooth and rich. Definitely competition for Bellyfish cafe next door. Wish we could have this quality in Sydney too. Thank you to Luna for giving us an amazing...
