This is definitely a must do while in Noosa! Our outing was a present from our daughter as she knows that we don’t go out much (due to my 45 years of hospitality background and I admit…being hard to please. Ok, ok…sorry!). But…this evening was so satisfying. Matthew, the host and Maître d’, was a gem. He also knew his river and its landscape, the best fishing spots and the local wildlife. It’s always nice to see Noosa from the water. Kiara, his assistant was great too! Efficient, polite and happy (we’ve had our share of grumpy waiters over 25 years living in Noosa, so it was an added bonus). Nick the captain wasn’t seen much after greeting us onto the vessel (as he had lots to do upstairs) but he brought us back in one piece which is what you want! Nobody was riversick thanks to his smooth handling of the boat even though it was a touch windy outside. Now…the food prepared by Daniel, in a galley the size of a postage stamp, was excellent! Flavours were great and cooked to perfection! It truly was! Entrees, main courses and desserts… we couldn’t fault anything. The ambiance with the other diners was fun and maybe due to a small group (only 21 of us). So thank you all for a wonderful evening, you did a great job! We’ll try to do it again sometime, if you’re not fully booked! (Such a lovely and memorable present from...
Read moreMy bf surprised me for my 33rd birthday with the lunch cruise. The set up blew me away, it’s small but beautiful, love the all white theme, looks clean and crisp. We were greeted when we arrived, something so simple as an introduction makes all the difference in my opinion. They’re only a small crew of 5 so it’s nice knowing who everyone is. We opted for the seafood menu, the food was fresh and tasty (scallops 💯), my 7yr old daughter had chicken nuggets, it was a big serving and not your standard crappy nuggets and chips. The cocktails were great and the service was amazing!! They even surprised me with a sparkler in my dessert and sung me happy birthday (it’s the small things 👌🏾). There is an outdoor seating area upstairs, 2 toilets, you can see the bar and kitchen, as I said it is small/intimate but it’s lovely and I would definitely return and highly recommend. It’s an absolute treat! Matthew (owner) was very friendly, he privately shared interesting facts about the river that we appreciated, he had a chat to my partner about the business as he purchased it in Dec last year, we also asked if they had colouring pencils and paper for my daughter and he went out of his way to find some. Thank you for...
Read moreSorry not getting all of you 5 star people out there. Our server Julian was great but the food and wine poor.
We went for the seafood option. My piece of salmon was around 50gms, the mash tasted like instant potatoe and the asparagus was way over cooked.
There was a seafood platter with fresh oysters, green lipped mussels (tough as old boots) the rest was ok including the thai fish cakes. The best thing I ate was the bread roll and butter, yum .
As I said Julian was great, but the wine wasn't. Paul Mas 2015 chardonay $7.99 a bottle in Dan Murphy's $35 on this cruise.
At $65 a person I just expected the food to be a little better and please I'd rather pay $12 a glass $45 a bottle for some decent wine.
Was the day a disaster no but itv could have been so...
