Then there are at least a dozen others bowling so they turn on the lights no prob so we decide to go order but im told ill have to finish up bowling at which point i tell her were going to order and come back (after all we paid $12 each and it was the kids first barefoot bowls) about half an hour and im told lights off at 830 not 9pm like i was told when i originally booked for 6pm dinner 7pm bowls ...by this time im getting grumpy so go to order and wow prices arent shy but the wednesday special we went there for 2 for $ 22 is fish n chips lasagna or roast... now i love a roast but luckily i saw the portion and decided id need 2 for myself if i got it. Kids got parmys for $22 each .... poor is the word id use no Napoli sauce to be seen under an uncooked piece of bacon ..if your going to use bacon please cook it first. Read moreI've been dining in this restaurant, located within the Lawn Bowls Club, since it's inception pre Covid-19 ( or there abouts). The original owners were quick, professional and most importantly, the food was delicious. About 12-18 months ago, it changed ownership and I've seen a steady decline in quality and flavoursome food. Bland would aptly describe the dishes. Yesterday (16 Oct ) I ordered chicken and cashew nuts with "special fried rice". Chicken was dry and the sauce was totally over the top with salt!! This was a takeaway meal and I asked for the cashew nuts to be served separately to keep their crunch. Nooooo... all mixed up in the dry chicken and salty sauce. The "special fried rice rice" contained over cooked vegetables and gluggy rice. NO prawns or extras normally associated with "special fried rice"..... just an extra $3.00 (because it's "special"). I implore all of my Chinese friends to help... PLEASE OPEN A REAL CHINESE RESTAURANT with an authentic CANTONESE CHEF.
Please note: This review does not reflect on the friendliness and quality of the Lawn Bowls Club.
