Tonight, Dad completely spoiled me at Noosa Waterfront restaurant😁
This restaurant had a lovely ambience on the water as the sunset which was complemented by the fine quality of the food.
Although pricey, we decided to each get an entree, main and dessert which was definitely worth it!
The first picture is the Burrata which was accompanied by prosciutto and fresh peaches. This would have to be my favourite dish because all the flavours and textures worked perfectly together and you could really tell the quality of the ingredients.
The second pic is Dad’s entree which was the Melanzana Alla Parmiggiana and consisted of a small deep fried eggplant with a tomato sauce and ricotta. This was so full of flavour and the textures from the crumb on the eggplant created interest in the dish.
Third pic is my main course - Bottoni. This pasta was so delicate, smooth and just utterly enjoyable. Inside each bottoni was a liquid Parmesan cheese sauce that was silky and rich. The eggplant purée had a delicious texture and it’s slight sweetness made it delicious. They cherry tomatoes were semi dried and really pulled the flavours of the dish together.
Fourth pic is the Tortelli Di Granchio which was a pasta stuffed with spanner crab. The crab meat was so fresh and it’s quality shined through the flavour. The tortelli’s sat in an onion broth that had a complex depth of flavour.
Fifth pic is my dessert - the tiramisu. I’m not really a big coffee fan but this was incredible. Coffee ice cream so smooth and creamy. Chocolate crumb so yummy. Sponge in the tiramisu was so light and fluffy and the overall texture and flavour was unlike any other tiramisu I’ve had.
Sixth pic is Dad’s dessert - Foresta Nera (or Black Forest in English). This dessert had so many elements that came together to create a delightful flavour experience. The addition of matcha to the traditional dark chocolate and cherry combo was perfection.
Final pic is my delicious mocktail which I don’t remember the name of but it had some fairy floss on top which made it look stunning.
I can’t finish this review without mentioning the lovely staff. All were so friendly...
Read moreMy mum and I were visiting Noosa and I had booked a special dinner at the Waterfront restaurant mid week after seeing all the good reviews. We had a very subpar experience which did not match expectations.
Firstly even though the restaurant was half full it took ages for someone to seat us. The waitress passed about 3 times going to tables before checking our booking and seating us. For mains we ordered the beef ragu gnocchi and the moreton bug pappardelle. The ragu was nice but in a béchamel rather than a reduced red sauce. The pappardelle however was extremely salty and inedible.
We spoke to the waitress about this and she suggested to replace the meal or take it off the bill. I was shocked when she also mentioned someone the week prior had complained about the same meal and the chef sometimes just goes overboard and adds too much salt to dishes.
My mum was so put off by the meal she lost her appetite so we didn’t reorder. We then decided to leave after the other pasta was finished and had to walk over to the till as no one brought the bill to our table.
At the till the waitress apologised and brought out a complimentary ice cream with bday chocolate as had mentioned the dinner was for my mums bday. She said that it was a surprise, which is why no-one had brought the bill to our table. While it was a nice gesture I would have appreciated if she had told me this as we then awkwardly went to sit back down at the table.
Overall while I appreciated the waitresses trying to smooth things over the whole experience was pretty disappointing. We don’t go to fine dining restaurants often so a restaurant of this quality and price we should not have had to wait so long for service and the food should not be over seasoned to the point of...
Read moreWe have vacationed in Noosa for the past few years and dined in most the fine dining restaurants in the area, on the recommendation of a friend decided we would book a table at Noosa Waterfront Restaurant.
From the moment we stepped into the elegant ambiance of this charming Italian restaurant, we were whisked away on a culinary journey that surpassed all expectations. The exceptional service started with the maître d', whose warm welcome set the tone for the entire evening. However, it was our waiter, Kye, who truly elevated our experience with his warm and engaging table-side manner.
Kye's attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and genuine passion for ensuring our dining experience were all graciously appreciated. His recommendations were fantastic, guiding us through a tantalising array of choices presented to us within the menu. His friendly demeanour and unwavering commitment to making our evening memorable were truly commendable.
Each dish that graced our table was a masterpiece, skilfully crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients that showcased the true essence of Italian cuisine. The flavours danced on our palates, each bite more delightful than the last. The attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience, coupled with Kye's impeccable service, made this an unforgettable evening for us on what was one of our final nights in Noosa.
This restaurant isn't just a place to dine; it's a destination where passion for food meets ambience and unparalleled service. Without a doubt, this establishment has earned our highest praise and will remain as one of preferred fine dining experiences in the...
