Jan's Chinese Malaysian Restaurant — Restaurant in The Entrance

I ordered through menu log for delivery. I tried them once before (chick omelette, fried rice, lemon chick, prawn toast -lemon chick was not crispy, it was soggy a bit, not the best but everything else was fine), ordered again tonight, same as everything above but swapped lemon chick to try sweet and sour pork. Fried rice wasn't as nice as first time, no peas, etc, just prawns and onion but still OK. Omelette fine, prawn toast very tasty, but the sweet and sour pork -absolutely disgusting. I spat it out. My mum ordered the pork so I waited to see what she thought. She spat it out, it had some terrible flavour in the pork, it was a disgusting flavour and mum orders sweet and sour pork all the time (Not from there though). I rang the store just to let them know as we spent $71 there, and the lady said there was nothing wrong with it, that's how they cook it all the time and noone complains, she was rude. Will never be eating...

Have been a customer for 7yrs, my family and I have many nights eating out at Jan's. We also having home delivery often and thats where I LOST FAITH TONIGHT! As usual we ordered Honey Chilli Chicken with fried rice......it was missing the chilli and Angela admitted that the chef added soy sc. I hate complaining and love Angela's straight forwardness that she is known for....BUT it was really bad!, soggy chicken, dark in colour looking burnt and tasted off. I rang (have never before complained) and OMG she overtalked me explaining the chef put different sauces in, I replied that we liked it the way it was expecting just that, being consistant. Angela offered me a FREE ENTREE to compensate for our main meal and to be honest, I dont want a free entree but more so to be heard, listened to and respected as a paying client! Sorry but your BAD...

Just moved to the area and we decided to try. I’m sorry to say as the staff were super friendly but it was highly disappointing. I was surprised as there was good reviews so we were looking forward. I am surprised to people who have said they enjoyed the food here. We ordered garlic prawns which was over priced for what it was as a few prawns and mostly raw onion in a sauce which was not a good taste. Combined chow mein which was the worst of the whole meal and unrecognisable. Black bean beef which was OK and special fried rice which was the best from the meal but was like warm.
