Not what it used to be. We have come here for dinner every winter season for last 10 years. It used to be very classy, with white table cloths and nice quiet music. We booked 8pm Sunday night expecting it to be a quiet dinner but found the guests were all cramed into the foyer area close to the kitchen, with all the quiet tables next to the windows empty. The two of us were seated in between two large very drunk and rowdy groups who were swearing and yelling loudly. They had copious amounts of alcoholic beverages on their table, and having an RSA my self I certainly would have asked them to leave the premises. Before ordering we asked kindly if we could move to a quieter spot and were directed to an adjacent table still next to the loud group. We asked about the tables along the windows and the waitress replied that they weren’t using them…(?) We ordered baked Camembert cheese which we have enjoyed in the past and it was not the same standard. It was a tiny serving baked in a steel pot with the honey stuck to the sides instead of the previous presentation on a nice large wooden cheese board with fresh honey, nuts and decorative flowers. The mains were barramundi which was very salty, and pasta which was bad. The pasta was very under-cooked and cold. When the waitress finally asked after we had finished our meals how they were, when we quietly replied that the pasta was cold and undercooked she completely ignored the response and walked off to get the bill! Sad to see such a great place go down hill because of poor staff effort.

This restaurant is located in The Denman Hotel. First impression was the outdated furniture but that became a non issue when we were greated by the very friendly staff. We had grilled prawns for Entree and some sourdough. Main meal was Barramundi and Steak. The steak is on the smaller side so definitely order a side... the staff also advised us of this. To finish off an amazing dinner was Baked Cheesecake for dessert. We will definitely be returning to this little restaurant when in Thredbo.

The atmosphere was great It was a busy Sat night , booked a table for 8 people , took about 70 mins for entree and waitress were not attentive, they were too busy and no where to be found. Dishes were well plated and presented but lack of flavour , we needed salt for every main we ordered . Scampi was overcooked and rice tasted bland . The sour mock tail was great but the waitress didn’t introduce what it was

We so loved this surprise discovery in Thredbo Village , “The Terrace restaurant “ that we went back twice in two days. The Apres’ bar downstairs was a lovely place to grab a cocktail and pre dinner drink before going upstairs to the restaurant. It’s such a cool bar with a cosy fireplace and friendly barman , Josh. The restaurant has great views up to the mountain and is a very smart and romantic venue with a great menu. Their mushroom linguine ragu was amazing and expertly prepared by Tristen , their chef. Our servers Marina and Daniel were so professional, attentive and personable. We will definitely go back again when we next...

Dining at the restaurant, The Terrace Denman, is always such a beautiful experience when I’m in Thredbo. After a long day skiing (or hiking in the other months) all you want to do is enjoy a warm and cosy spot with a hearty meal. The food is consistently delicious and top quality (and the best in the village), with friendly service and has a beautiful sense of warmth and a very welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommend if you’re coming to Thredbo any time of the year, you won’t be...
