Went here for a Sunday lunch for 4 people. We were a bit lucky it was not too crowded at that time. We got the Beef Laksa, Prawn Laksa, Pork Ramen and some dumplings. We also tried the Golden Ale Beer and mulled wine.
The best meal here in my opinion is the Laksa. The broth tastes like the real thing so kudos to the chef! The beef in the laksa is almost crumbling when you eat it so it seems like it has been stewed for a long time. The Prawn Laksa is also good according to my friends who tried it.
I got the Pork Ramen and I feel it was pretty okay-ish. I guess I am a bit biased since I prefer shoyu based ramen as compared to miso based ones. Overall, it was acceptable.
The final thing worth mentioning is the price. It was pretty steep as compared to other restaurants in the area($36 for the Laksa). However, if you like something pretty decent that is not a steak, burger or loaded chips, I say go for it!

Read moreI was charged $24 for a croissant and milkshake, but the payment failed because of a hidden 40c surcharge that wasnât shown on the screen. The staff pointed to a tiny sign hidden behind the menu â but the final amount, including surcharge, is legally supposed to show on the EFTPOS machine before you tap. Thatâs basic transparency. Expecting customers to do the maths themselves is a joke. The staff were rude and acted like I was poor or clueless for not having extra on my card, even after I explained I load exact amounts for security. For a place as expensive as Thredbo, this just feels shady. 40c might seem small, but over hundreds of customers a day, that adds up. Iâm seriously wondering how long theyâve been overcharging people like this....
Read moreI would have given this a higher rating. The coffee was fine but what irritates me is the excessive fees charged for eftpos. Worse, the coffee shop is charging more than they declare at the counter. They advise 2.25% for debit and credit card. This is on the very high side compared to what the reserve bank advises 0.5% for debit and 1-1.5% for credit cards. I was charged 2.58% for using a debit card. When I queried the error I was told âOh, they must have put it up without telling meâ. Shame on you for not advertising correctly. At a time when we are almost forced to used cards instead of cash I can understand the need to recover bank costs. The procedure at this outlet is...
