Encounter Bistro — Restaurant in Victor Harbor

2 of us got a large serve of the roast pork. Incredibly dry. At 12.10pm. It should have just come out of the oven for lunch. So it shouldn't be dry. Was only just like warm too. Gravy was like water. No crackling as promised so I told the wait staff who brought out some that seemed like it was yesterday's. Why is it so hard to deliver a semi decent roast? Good spot to watch sports though. Five 75 inch HD TV's. With main event for the UFC. OH and on the day they $7.50 imperials of superdry. My suggestion... Eat before you go for drinks. And to the manager. No I'm not complaining on the day. I shouldn't have to to get a semi decent meal. Do better. Pay your staff more so they come to work. Or...

Went to Victor harbor to enjoy a day out then thought we'd have lunch here and that's when it went down hill the guy working there was really good. However we waited an hour and a half for our food loosing a big part of our day, and it tasted disgusting the worst thing I have ever tried i ordered fish of the day meal and asked for grilled and it tasted like it was boiled in water soggy and wet so after waiting all that time I didn't eat it as we left the guy that served us offered a refund for the meal the people were really nice and friendly but the wait time and the food was...

Turned up at 1pm and noticed there were plenty of tables available. There was a sign stating there was a 30-45 minute wait which we were ok with as a walk in diner. When we asked for a table the server said why don’t people book. I thought this was unacceptable to say especially to a group of adults who were going to not only have lunch but spend money within the gaming room. We decided due to this experience to go elsewhere as if this is the first interaction we didn’t want to support the business. This is sad as we love coming down for holidays and have enjoyed meals...
