I attend this Cafe regularly. The store sits alone away from the main shopping precinct with views through large windows across Tallarook Street towards Kings Park. Tallarook Street is a main thoroughfare so cars are constantly driving past. There is ample street parking. The windows provide lots of natural lighting.
Inside is relaxed country feel offering a range of seating in an open setting to suit all visitors and numbers; seats, stools, and couches. The venue is always clean. Gentle music is often playing in the background. The staff greet with a warm friendly smile. The venue is able to cater for passing visitors and small functions. This is a licensed venue with selection of alcoholic beverages. The owners work in the Cafe and take pride in the business.
There is a good selection of food with daily specials. Three of my favourites are the steak sandwich, calamari, or banana and honey sandwiches. I also love the desert fridge. All are made on site and delicious. Chocolate and banana milkshakes or long blacks never disappoint.

Parked up and was sorting camera gear out in the boot first when two women came out and demanded I shift the car because it was outside their shop and I was going to the cars and coffee meet afterwards. This is on a public road of course, not a private car park. I mentioned their verbal abuse to a couple of local police working the show when I went in afterwards, who also made the comment about public road. Of course, I didn't bother with the coffee as a result of this.
They were hands down the rudest people I've ever met in hospitality. One of them even presented their finger for the courtesy shot I took of them while they were carrying on. I ended up moving on because partly it still inside a 30 minute restricted zone (which they were too aggro to mention) and because I was concerned they may damage the car...
Read moreNice country cafe with friendly staff I enjoyed the Devonshire Tea that was served with fresh cream, jam and tea using fresh leaves which was lovely. The scones were really good. I was however let down by the fact that my tea was served in an old school silver teapot like you would see in an aged care facility after seeing other patrons with nice crisp white teapots I understand the cream is whipped fresh and is done so by using a hospitality canister but it melts next to the warm scones. Using a heavier cream or whipping by hand for this particular menu item and changing your teapots would give this the upper hand for a much more enjoyable dining experience. It's hard to find a great Devonshire tea around these parts and it has the potential to be...
