Benalla Bowls Club — Restaurant in Victoria

Last Thursday, we had a group booking at this club. I ordered a Calamari main meal with chips and wedges at $28 non member price, bowl of wedges $7. I was given a kids meal charged at the same price with a bowl of veges instead. I said to the waitress the order was a bowl of wedges. When approached about the incorrect order, as my meal was smaller than the members of the group that paid $15 for the same meals but kids size. The response was because you asked for veges not salad in the meal, that was why I was charged extra, but the meal was still smaller not a main meal charged $35 Then she said she couldn't handle everything as she was the only one in the kitchen. What kind of service is this, quick to take the money with horrible meals and service. And then if you are looking at playing the pokies, make sure you don't make a noise when you play the machine or the Manager will kick you out. This venue does not understand that we are the ones that are keeping them in a job. Terrible service, we would've been their best turnover for the day and were treated horribly by this venue. They do not welcome visitors. Not recommended. They will charge you the main meal price and serve you with kids meals. Will not visit this...

Long queues getting in the front door due to the slow check-in process. Lunch was just a buffet for everyone, so it should have been pre-prepared and pretty quick. But for some reason it was very slow and one of the Meats that kept being promised to come out in a minute still hadn't arrived by 1:30pm when lunchtime started at 12:30! 😖 So, don't know what was going on there... They also ran out of desserts early, so another long wait for more to come out. They seemed to have plenty of staff and the serving staff were quite friendly. But overall the whole thing should have been a lot quicker and much more organised. So, rating was only just ok as the food was tasty...

Tonight we went to The Benalla Bowls Club for the first time with our family. Let me say we were so pleased with the amazing service, wonderful large meals and the fantastic show we attended!! (The hypnotist was very funny and impressive)

The staff were absolutely exceptional!

Brady at the bar carried our drinks to our table, Jayde was very polite and hospitable and Daniel was very diligent with the staff he was overseeing.

I would 100% recommend coming here for a wonderful family friendly atmosphere. Our daughter’s birthday was celebrated and the staff brought her a little gift! Honestly 10 out of 10 !!...
