An amazing night, filled with a great atmosphere, awesome customer service, quality produce and delicious well presented French Cuisine 🤗 Started with the Goodnight Kiss cocktail just divine ❤️ Ordered the escargot in garlic butter, a definite first try for me but full of delicate flavours that was soaked up with French baguette 😋😋 Also tried the Leek & Gruyére Croquettes, light, fluffy, beautifully cooked with great crumb 😁 Mains were the Confit Duck, carrots and pureé, the veg components were very tasty and the duck was soooo tender 👍👍 Also ordered the Plat du jour, amazing depth of flavours in the ragout and complimented with the silky soft gnocchi 😋😋 Decided upon 3 desserts to share, Apple tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream, Fromage and The Opera Cake.......A lit birthday candle was placed on the Opera Cake by the waiter, was just a special touch to help celebrate my birthday 🍾 The tarte had plump apple pieces with the most amazing caramel sauce I've ever had! 🤟 Fromage selection of soft, blue & hard were paired with a wafer thin crisp and the Opera Cake was definitely a favourite 🤗 Finished with a Lemon, lime bitters and I had a latte, great froth and a full bodied smooth blend, the perfect way to finish the evening ❤️ Highly recommend this absolute Belmont gem and can't wait...

Service: Absolutely welcoming and warm. Our waitress was attentive and lovely with just the right amount of interaction. We never really needed to wait for longer than 30 seconds to get someone's attention and our plates were cleared around 10 minutes when we clearly had finished. I highly appreciate and incredibly impressed by our waitress who knew all the specials, the ingredients used and able to elaborate go us what things actually were. When we struggled on which sides to get, she was able to recommend a salad to perfectly cut through the meat perfectly. Food: menu was exceptionally well planned, tastes were well balanced and clearly though had gone into each component. The menu has a limited selection but when you can perfect what you do, it doesn't matter if it's limited. Ambience: lovely little place with not too many tables means that wait staff could attend to patrons and be available.

Read moreHad a mostly disappointing meal here. Front of house staff were excellent. Wine and cocktails great. The food was not up to standard. The pate toast was a sandwich and too big to eat in one bite and so messy with two bites it just smeared everywhere.
The fish of the day was immaculate, so fresh and light. We ordered the steak medium rare and it came medium well/well done. Returned it and the next steak we got was over medium. We still ate it as we were hungry, they comped us which was appreciated. The salad greens, the dressing wasn't distributed properly so there was huge smears and chunks over the leaves. The green beans were fine, nothing special.
We had the creme brulee which was as disastrous as the steak. It was a great texture on top but scrambled egg on the bottom, the custard was completely split. One minor gripe the table was not wiped down before dessert and there was food on it. If the steak hadn't been comped this was a $250 meal. Extremely disappointed and likely won't return despite how nice FoH staff were. Go to La Cachette or Felix for same price but...
