Can honestly say that our entire table was unimpressed with our experience at clogs last night. The 25 minute wait for the drinks which ended up being 75% ice cubes and also served in cracked glasses wasn't the best start to our dinner but we brushed it aside and waited for our meals.
We then had our food brought over by the most unfriendly, unwelcoming, sour faced old man that proceeded to drop and slide the food across the table while he huffed out what it was that he was slamming down. He didn't say one word other than announcing what it was he was quite literally dropping on our table, didn't smile or make eye contact with any of us and didn't seem to notice that he slid a plate straight into my elbow with quite a bit of force before spinning around and walking off on us before we could say anything. This man needs to take a good look at the service he's providing because it was honestly disgraceful.
As for the food, we ate it because we were all hungry at this point as it was quite late at this point but it was extremely disappointing. The garlic bread was literally 3 slices of toast with a bit of butter on it, absolute crap. Everything else was mediocre. The quality of clogs has dropped tremendously and we were all pretty disappointed.
There was one superstar though! One young man that was working the floor and took our orders for the night. I wish we grabbed his name but he was an absolute delight and we all made comment to each other about how wonderful he was. Super friendly and always had a smile. Would always ask if we needed anymore drinks or anything cleared off the tables whenever he was near us. He gave fantastic customer service and we couldn't fault him at all! What a wonderful guy!
Hopefully the drink and food quality and certain staff members attitudes can...
Read moreJULY 2022 Well 3 months later I am disappointed. I checked the internet, under their menu which was also posted on their window, that they had confit pork belly and 12 hour roasted lamb shoulder. Booked with them only to be given a menu titled "Clogs-Menu-21st-Century" . Well there was no pork belly or lamb shoulder thereon. Ok I get it a change of menu but someone forgot to remove the menu posted on the window. Ok blame covid, blame staff shortages, whatever. This time not really impressed. Waited 1 hr for a small pizza to share. Not overly busy........3 months earlier I must admit. Well worth the visit. July 2022 2 starts, 3 months prior 5 stars. Life your game. Something is wrong. Food was not really tasty, Change of chef ????? Constructive feedback.... Please review.
We had a tad over priced. House Made Ravioli 33 tiger prawn, moreton bay bug, dill and parsley stuffed jumbo raviolo, served with tiger prawns and a brown butter, lemon and caper sauce.
also a Potato Gnocchi 29 slow cooked lamb ragu, peas, pancetta, ricotta, mushroom, tomato, parsley, black olive (GF) lacked flavour...
My next visit to Bendigo will sadly be at another venue.
Last review APRIL 2022 : Upon entry around 6:30pm on a Thursday night it was full of energy. The restaurant was pretty much at capacity with staff on the go. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The food was delightful. It was well presented, hot and tasty. Serving size was excellent. Yes I recommend Clogs and I will be back on my next Bendigo visit. Thanks for a great...

Upon entering Clogs, I was immediately drawn to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The attentive and friendly staff added to the overall pleasant dining experience.
The menu at Clogs boasts a variety of Italian classics, but it was their innovative approach to pizza that truly caught my attention. The standout dish for me was their lasagna pizza, a delightful fusion of two beloved Italian favorites. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, and the toppings of rich meat sauce and melted cheese were a heavenly combination. It was a unique and scrumptious creation that left me wanting more. Not only did Clogs excel in their pizza offerings, but their pasta dishes were equally impressive. The carbonara pasta, in particular, was a delight to the senses (or so I was told by my date, I didn’t try it myself, surely next time).
To complement the delectable food, Clogs also boasts an impressive selection of cocktails. The mixologists at the restaurant are true artisans, crafting creative and delicious concoctions that elevate the dining experience. From classic Negronis to innovative signature cocktails, every sip was a burst of flavor and a perfect accompaniment to the meal.
A must visit if...
