Fantastic sunny drive to Bendigo for a gig I arrived at the MIGHTY METRO and sat down to a burger, salad and chips for early dinner washed down with an icy cold JD and Coke it was all very tasty ..nomnom.. hot and fresh and very enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and efficient, food was out pretty quick, (well done METRO👌) then I loaded in and setup my drums with THE MIGHTY COP THIS BAND Melbourne's premier top 40 club and corporate dance band we started gigging at 11 pm and had the dance floor packed for every song 🎶 until closing it got busier after midnight with buses dropping lots of young crew off and the warm night kept everyone feeling like summer was here! Security guards were both professional and quite friendly, no problems on the night its a testament to a safe, well run hotel with good management. Had an amazingly delicious Pinapple Parma here tonight with my family, cannot fault the meal both taste and portion size was perfect! Good quality moist chicken breast with yummy fries and salad. A MASSIVE dissatisfaction at the end of our meal when I noticed a large black mould build up on the inside of the glass water jug we had been drinking from. Safe to say, a great experience turned sour really quick. We brought this to the attention of the bar staff who were rude and not helpfull, but the Manager soon came to our table who was apologetic and offered a FREE drink. As we did not want any more food or drink, we instead received re-embursement of my meal and a drink. I do hope that they ensure this is not experienced by any other diners in the future. terrible security staff, none follow the COVID guidelines themselves but dictate and control who can get it or out. None of the guards for at least 30 mins were not wearing masks, were conversing with each other and harrasing customers while not following their own guidelines. A friend got kicked out for merely asking for them to wear a mask. This business really should consider new security staff as I can totally see their personalities, gang like mentality causing more trouble than good. Not to mention they followed the group around after we left due to their conduct and unfair ruling to further harass a 18 year old girl completely different club, towering and intimidating to ruins ones night. It was disgusting.should definitely be looked at....
