I had a voucher to use, but couldn't use it on the website. Tried to call the store using the number listed on Google, but it was disconnected. Had to check their website for the correct number (their actual website - it's not even on the ordering part of the website). The girl I spoke to on the phone was polite enough, told me to come into the store and order in person. She asked what we wanted to order and told me that they had the things I wanted available at that time (with a relatively small menu, I would have thought everything would be available all the time, but apparently not). Only about two hours later upon attending the store, half the stuff I wanted was no longer available (even though it was only like 5pm, so it's not like they sold out in the dinner rush). The hot food wasn't really that hot, so we had to reheat it at home, which wasn't a big deal. However, the veggie lasagna looked dry (and was), and the curried sausages and chow mein were SO salty we could barely eat them (the chow mein in particular). The chicken casserole lacked taste. All dishes were loaded with flour or cornflour. The only nice dish was the scalloped potato. We have one voucher left to use and I think we'll just be getting $50 worth of scalloped potato because I wouldn't bother to reorder anything else we tried.
Update: Went back a second time to use the other voucher, and the food was better, nowhere near as salty as last time. Don't go expecting restaurant quality, but it's stuff that if I'd cooked it myself at home, I'd think it...
Read moreOh dear, this is what was brought to my door during a period of being unwell. I was heartbroken as the staff were very rude towards me when I told them of my disappointment. The burnt fritatta was placed into two separate boxes and had obviously been re- heated from frozen, as it was swimming in fluid and had shrunk into multiple large pieces, like a giant scrambled egg with a distinct sulfer odour to it and the quiche was burnt and cracked in several places too, and was brought to my door on a thin cardboard lid wrapped in cling film. The potato bake was seemingly visually ok, but due to the condition of the rest of the delivery, and the rudeness of the two girls I spoke to at the store, I declined both a refund or exchange. I will never purchase anything from this business again. They were insistent that despite the presentation and condition of the food, it was still good to eat. They berated me for providing them with my honest feedback. Shame it's under new management, it was once a homely alternative to...
Read moreTwo starts given for the good information provided when i needed to call about a dish. Unfortunately the food wasn't great.. The butter chicken did just taste like a stew, it said an aussie take on the dish but didn't specify that it was very stew-like. That being said, it was edible and hearty. The mash potato however was not. It tasted like it was cooked in a burnt pot but the burnt flavour wasn't your average known taste. I compared it with family and we all agreed it tasted like the smell of an ash tray. No one would eat more than a spoon of it.
The banana pudding tasted nice but was comparable to banana bread cubes in custard.
I'd eat the stew again but i wouldn't purchase it for myself. That's about as good as this review gets unfortunately. I feel sad posting it but it wasn't a great experience. The phone call to them was nice tho so i tried to give...
